Description
I saw Journey Beyond Sodor today. I went into it expecting Misty Island Rescue levels of bad, but it was actually good. When I saw the three odd-ball experimental engines, I had a lot of fun watching them, and I thought, "why couldn't The Logging Locos be like this?", then it gave me the idea for this meme. Hope y'all enjoy.Thomas & Friends(C)HIT Entertainment

I know.
And a lotta times I gotta keep my mouth shut about it if I wanna avoid an irate rant on what was wrong about them. Especially since I can't really deny most of it.

Well, I'm not gonna do that here, mainly cause there's nothing I can say about them that hasn't already been said.

Much appreciated.
That all said, I do like the experimental engines. Their unique personalities are ones I haven't seen a whole lot of in the Thomas universe all interacting at the same time (the closest probably being Hannah and poor Toby). It proves to both the audience and Thomas that mainland engines are quite different than Sodor engines, and not just in looks or functionality.

Like I said after Thomas mentioned it to Daisy if the were to bring it back maybe show that the old tunnel collapsed because it was built badly, that the logging camps are now connected via a rolling bridge or the like and that the place isn't just chaos and actually works like a lumber yard bringing fresh timber to Sodor to be sawed or lumber shipped to Sodor to be sent to the mainland.
Also get rid of the Shake shake (This isn't a wario game) log tunnel and any of the messed up equipment and Misty Island could be a great place to return to. Even if the engines were Bill, Ben and cousin Bubba still it could work. Also make it to where all the old adventures are mentioned but turn out to be stories the Logging engines made up since well you know their kids really.
Like I said if a tunnel of any sort was built in that era it would of been short and mist hides a lot of stuff at sea so not seeing it all the time is just it's slightly further out to sea than the Mainlan's connection and all move it to like a mile off shore and it's possible I think. Got to check my math -_- now where did I put my Univac? (FYI I can do simple math easy if I know the formula but X=Yร6รทฯ+2 I am not so good at. Also yes that problem is garbage I made up on spot but if it can be solved anyone is welcome to tell me what I've unleashed )

How is that offensive? Asking about slavery is not in my book offensive unless it's in regard to well you know wishing to commit said act. This is a innocent question if you ask me and I see it often enough to be puzzled by why other apologize for it.
Being forced to work without any compensation or any gratitude of any sort plus being treated less than equal is Slavery. Unless the work is to pay off a debt to society like that of the old chain gangs and your working due to committing a crime it's not if you ask me slavery then as if you commit a crime you need to make good on it. Severity depends on the crime. Not opening that chestnut as I'd rather not lose any friends here. The old saying "Never discuss religion or politics if you want to stay friends" should include Crime too (Also it's half true on Religion but again not opening up a chestnut I don't want to lose others over ).
In a railway sense Thomas was trying to help repay a favor at first but it evolved into indentured servitude. After all if Frankie had let Thomas leave after they returned from the delivery where he was locked in it would of been reasonable. Not letting him go after he came off the track and asking him who would be doing the work too menial for her and Hurricane was where it crossed the line big time. Her whole "Little Tank Engine" make it worse and almost dip into slavery as she is thinking herself more than Thomas. At least Hurricane calls him by name and is worried about him getting hurt.
Anyway I hope that give you something to think about and discuss further if you like. Again I just don't know why anyone needs to say "No offense" When asking if something reminds them of another thing. Slavery is horrible but only the act and want of taking freedoms is horrible not discussing what constitutes it.

I like all three of them, but if I had to pick a favorite, it would have to be Theo, because not only is he a precious little cinnamon roll, but I can also relate to him quite a lot because I am pretty shy and awkward in real life when it comes to being near people I don't know all that well, mostly because I'm an introvert, and have high-functioning autism.

Yeah, I have a big sister who's autistic and for long time she was an extreme extrovert, and today she's married to a great husband and even has a sweet baby girl. If you were to meet her now without me telling in advance, you'd never guess that's she's autistic.

Hmm. Maybe if the Logging Locos were given a proper chance, maybe we could see a similar scenario occur.

I made a similar argument just slightly further down. Have a look if your interested my friend.
All in all though I want Theo to be given a proper drive train akin to his cousin Fergus (Love to see hime return in CG too I love rail Traction Engines.) Get rid of his outside cogs and give him a proper flywheel and he would run and pull/push much better. Little guy is adorable.
Merlin and Lexi all is needed is Merlin getting his Smokebox painted black like his funnels and a set of Buffers given to Lexi in front. I know a Cowcatcher like her design is fully capable of being used like buffers but It makes more sense plus she needs fron couplings of some sort otherwise that Brake pipe is utterly useless.
Heh funnily enough Lexi reminds me of myself alot with her voice changing and mannerism swapping. I want to voice act and I can stay in character quite well if given a chance to learn them or think on it. Lexi does just what I do when a situation calls for it I make a voice and act to that persona. It's quite fun and my friends say I'm not shabby at it. The in particular love my what we call "Irish Sonic" which is a spoof of the Voice of Sonic the hedgehog from the Japanese OVA they dubed years back Sonic's voice actor was Irish (He came from Ireland not talked like it) so we dubbed that voice Irish Sonic and my friend wants to do a Abridged of it someday (He is a little unmotivated due to a abridged already existing but I keep telling him ours is our own. So it'll happen)
O_o um sorry for going on a tangent or fifty there. Anyway I agree they deserve another chance.
