Those cars are ABSOLUTELY perfect for the Misty Island Extension

It would be neat if you made the Logging Locos as sprites and had them pull these log cars. That is, if you want to.

I'd rather not. They're my least favorite characters in the franchise.

I said "That is, if you want to" for a reason. I'm convinced that even with the writer's ability to redeem a character, we will never see the Logging Locos again. I'm surprised that they brought back Skarloey's old personality (he was immature in seasons 9-12), but they can't make Bash, Dash, and Ferdinand (or even Misty Island) tolerable? I mean, Charlie and his jokes receive negative fan reception just like them, but he's in season 17 and 18 now!

Same thing with Diesel 10's evil personality in Day of the Diesels.

It was nice seeing him in an episode for once, though.

Yeah. And that Magic Railroad reference.

I'm curious to know what people's reactions would be if Arc Productions did either a remake (that followed the original script) or a sequel to Thomas and the Magic Railroad.

Well, I think if I were to do a Thomas series, I'd do a sequel. I accept the Thomas and the Magic Railroad we got as part of the TV series canon, and I aim to answer a few questions. It is said that Diesel 10 visited Sodor before, and came back for revenge. What happened with him and Lady? What went wrong?

I accept it too, since it was a major part of my childhood. But in my canon, the Magic Railroad adventure happened according to the original script. Either way, one thing's for sure, if there was a sequel, it would've developed Lady's character more.

I want to see how she's able to be magical, so I do agree with you on that. Plus, for a while, I wondered if Proteus would be developed more as well.

Maybe.

For a while, I came up with a story that felt like a direct sequel to Thomas and the Magic Railroad, only it focused on Proteus instead of Lady (but she was part of the plot, too). I figured Proteus could have a connection with the magic in Thomas' world, as well as the sole reason why locomotives and vehicles can talk.

Wow. What happened to it?

holmesman In reply to DanielArkansanEngine [2014-08-16 00:12:41 +0000 UTC]

I'm trying to find the best story for a sequel. I tried a few ideas, such as Thomas losing his memory and ending up in the real world and befriending Rainbow Sun (the locomotive from Shining Time Station), who has a face. I also thought of having Lady become a narrow-gauge engine so that Diesel 10 cannot chase her down narrow gauge track, only to discover that Diesel 10 has a new sidekick who is a narrow-gauge diesel. What are your ideas?

The ONLY thing I absolutely despise with a passion from that show is that freaking gumball machine Benson. My god. I never hated a cartoon character before in my life, but Benson came along and left me speechless.

Ok, now I'm ready for you to make something for me. 5 scenes depicting Steve's life.

Scene 1: Steve being built at the Lima locomotive works for the Red Mountain Logging Company.

Scene 2: Steve trundleing over a wood wooden trestle over a river taking some logs to the sawmill and blowing his whistle to a Dad and his son fishing at the river.

Scene 3: 1972, Steve was retired in 1955 with the advent of the diesels, and the line abandoned. Steve, who was still in the old engine shed which is falling apart looks as the weeds begin to grow, knowing his fate was sealed. However, The Fat Controller finds Steve and tells him he is going to Sodor to help with the Logging Locos.

Scene 4: Steve is at the Steamworks getting his old parts replaced, the rust removed, and reciving a fresh new coat of Red Paint.

Scene 5: Steve is happily taking some trucks along the Mainline and greets Ferdinand on the opposite track.

You don't have to start on it right away, I can wait. Think you can do it.

Well, how about just Steve pulling trucks along the mainline minus the logging locos?
