The Taste of Light

Life, it’s pace breaking-out where we stand, still,

Replete, this hunger to be, of freewill,

Wait! With wonder where the eyes rest, wide,

With visionary afternoon sun’s stride,

The taste of light upon our darkness cleansed.

Days, time all their own leases one moment’s gaze,

So complete steps encircle nostalgic phase,

The rawness of such growth in Winter dwells,

Where living the dream awakens and spells –

The taste of light upon our darkness cleansed.

Shadows, of a thought caught behind an age,

Reasoning within itself, till onstage,

Fear not, the story performs sunlit play,

With attention found - not too far away,

The taste of light upon our darkness cleansed.

January, resolves unto us a hope,

With which to embrace the extending scope,

Set, before our widening eyes’ survey,

Reach-out - all for once - with united display,

And taste this light upon the darkness cleansed.
