Wake the Dimensions of a Dream
(An extract from my much larger work) Wake! As time is of the essence to be sure, The rising hour is a tide seen so pure, Whence a wane of mood once set sluggish step, Now lapped by dancing flow, Her rhythm met, Rouse! The second life restores a dream so real, It drifts along the shore of life’s appeal, Memories warmed from endless summer hues, Whose trips equipped so many future views, Stir! Those zestful idylls, youthful spoon-fed days, Forever beaming with dawn’s preface glaze, Spoken as fact by oaken glades crowning, The first peak of sentimental morning, Wake! And recruit the pinnacle of faith’s charge, The enrolment of belief living large, Such motion sets the visionary goal, No-one seems to know yet we find the whole.
