Oh wow this looks great! Yea it's shame that M$ is not going that way :/ but there will be someone who will mod windows 8 OS and maybe will use something like you did in your concept art.

looks great! If the thin rectangles (skype, facebook, ect) were clicked/touched would they expand to be the size of the media player and show additional information (kinda like stylised tabs for the desktop)? If so I think this is a really clever concept. Good work
