Description
Every young novice mage had to demonstrate their power of controlling the elements to ascend to a higher rank in the circle.Manipulating the weather and creating thunderstorms is one part of this exam which has always be done in this dark old mage tower. Reinforced with magic focus-crystals, that are gathered down in the deep mines under these rugged islands, it has the ability to concentrate and amplify the novice's magic power and then release it in one huge burst.
I'd recommend not to come too close once the exames have started.
Painted the whole thing in SAI.

Wow, that's great. Now when I see this one, I think in mushroom village you brush strokes were to fuzzy. In here they are totally great. Love the light on the way in the front.

I wonder, how did you make them? I create an original character who can control the thunders, and I want to make realistic thunder like you. Can you tell me?

For the lightning I started with drawing the shape of the "main-arm" with a hard round brush and a light-blue-ish colour. You should try to avoid too curvy lines and repetitive patterns to make it look natural. Then added some "side-arms" with the same brush but a bit smaller.
To add the glow-effect I went over the lightning again with a soft round brush / Airbrush at a low opacity. Finally I refined the strongest parts of the lightning with a smaller hard round at a very light blue colour - not completely white but very light.
