It's - time!(Assignment 29 : Rainforest / Jungle).
Grab a boat and take a free tour through the jungle!
Painted with SAI over the weekend - didn't count the exact hours - should be 7 or 8 I think.
Hope you like it.

I love the mix of green hues in this one, it seems very soothing. (And makes the spots of pink flowers somewhat surprising and cute.)

Love the feeling of being enveloped inside that thick foliage... it isint't your best composition, but it sure works to give that closed up and nurturing feeling... KUDOS!!

This is the perfect vegetation landscape picture, the kind that leaves "pun intended" you wondering what kinds of animals lurk between these trees....

Another great one! You did a good job indicating depth by blurring the shapes but I think that if you faded the color intensity even more the further back the viewers eye went and if you reduced the size of the trunks of the trees that the sense of depth in the piece would be even stronger. If you look at the trees furthest along the river bend the trunk size is about the same as the ones closest to the viewer. They should appear to diminish in size the further away they go.
The lighting is really good, I get the sense of the murky haziness of the jungle. Something that might add to it would be to increase the variation in your color palette. You've stuck to the forest greens and yellow green lighting, perhaps adding in some blues or purples in the foliage itself would increase its interest. You've done some of that with the flowers but to break up some the green adding a more blueish tint might help. In the areas that you keep more yellow green adding a bit of orange red would be a nice compliment.

This picture doesn't have the exact lighting scheme that you've set up. The left side of this picture has something closer to your color palette but on the right you can see what i mean, that by having areas that contrast it that are bluer gives it a more dynamic feel.
Hope this is helpful. As always great work!

Hey, thank you very much for the feedback. I see what you mean with the trunk sizes and the colour palette - good points. Will definitely try that next time.
Yes, that's always helpful - very much appreciated! Thank you.
