Well, when I have references to work off of, it makes shading so much easier for me! I've noticed a lot of people here on deviantArt tend to do the same thing - work off of references! It's usually how we learn best! I like to take my time on my pictures, and make sure everything looks really good, just as they did in the reference picture! I have a lot of other reference drawings I've done, not all from Naruto! Eventually, I will post them on here!

you know something... in what concerns to drawing.... shadding... we are much alike! ^^... you see.... basicly my art is based on reference... although... there are works which i changed for example the expression... or the eyes... or the body posture... i am trying to reach that crazy level... when you draw just like Masashi Kishimoto you know... without a reference... for that... i try (slowly) to make works from references that present less and less similarities to the reference... in order to become "my" drawing... "my" art you know what i mean?
As to the shadding... i have the excly same spirit as you do... sice the ast month... i cannot leave my desk with a shadding out of place... i want everything to in it's place... ^^ although... i think you re a little closer to "perfection" than i am xDD
you re probably my best freind here in DA... i love chatting to you ^^

Ohhh, yes! I understand completely what you're talking about! I'd like to be able to reach that level, too someday! And the way I learn best is from drawing reference pictures all of the time! Helps me remember how to do certain poses and stuffs like that! You do, indeed, seem to do your drawings a lot like I do with mine! They look great!
