Description
Had to redesign the Pantheon Greeter because we couldn't use that large of avatars. Decided to go with a more Unity-esque design.I think Izo's excellent typography suggestions are what really makes this mockup. Go Izo!

It's pretty, but one thing is throwing me off. I really don't like how the "1" in "1:35" is smaller than the "35".

I really like this! I see that this picture is in 1024x576 resolution, but in practice it doesn't look like that at all on my netbook (which is 1024x600). I'm using the most recent Luna build (20120909) and the user window is just too big and covers half of the clock. Keep the good work man, I'm really looking forward to eOS Luna!

Hey Dan, will it be possible to force this to be used as the lock screen too? I feel it adds inconsistency that you get a different screen when you wake up a computer from sleep than if you cold boot or resume from disk.

Not yet, but there are plans to allow LightDM (the program that does this login stuff) to also handle the lock screen.

I love the font choices for Luna, poor font choices are always something that make UI's 'just not look right'. I really enjoy your teams attention to detail.

This works really good already and the typography is sexy as hell. Yet the very thin letters with only a little shadow are hard to right on a light wallpaper with a high resolution.

imho, the username to the right is repetitive. Do you see OSX, Unity, Gnome3, or Win7 doing that?

The idea was that the username might be something totally different from the person's real name. But in practice it turned out to indeed be repetitive. So we removed it

Looks brilliant! Love it. One thing, though... is it absolutely necessary to have the 'Log In' button that extruded, if even there at all? (Remember our old friend the enter key.)

I once had this thought of having a user pic in the panel and then, on login, having the pic fly from the login screen to the panel. That would communicate where to go to switch users. Or make the username fly.
Needs more consideration but thought I'd share.
