Gender: Male

Fur and Marking Characteristics:
Two horns, strong bone. Green fur with black stripes Eyes have 4 black stripes around the bottom, longest stripe protrudes from tear duct. Head is wolf based but a little more flat and long. Earring in the start of brown tip of left ear only - optional. Body is thick and muscular, similar size to a tiger.Personality
Malachite is a very egoisticly driven canine. He much prefers his own company due to others not being as high of a standard as he is, only the most beautiful and unique of animals will ever get his attention but even then he still holds himself in that of a higher regard than those around him.
Arrogant, proud and a little bit selfish, Malachite is driven by these notions. If he thinks another creature could pose a threat in terms of their impressive appearance then he will by all means make that creature as ugly as he sees everything else. Not even a magnificant looking flower would be left unscathed if Mala strolled past.
He's very confident in himself and definately in his appearance, majority of the time he's very calm and relaxed but it's not advised to get on the wrong side of this guy.

To be honest I've really wanted to try anthro style for years but every attempt I make ends in a pissed off Dragon and a bad drawing

yeah, he's my anthro naughty boy. he's one of my more successful attempts at anthro. and good practice too! lol that's how my anthros used to be too! practice makes perfect, and anthros need a lot of practice...i'm still having a rough time with them :/ at least Kaj comes across as mostly human in shape with dragon attributes (well this form at least)

My problem has always been a case of hands and feet not looking right. Even when I used to fancy myself as a manga artist, hands were a emormous problem for me. No matter how long I spent studying and learning anatomy I just never got them right.
Anthro hands are even harder for me though because they're human in shape but still appear like animal paws

Maybe we should do it as a monthly challenge though. I've been thinking alot about this and figured that maybe we aren't getting many people taking part because a week isn't long enough or that particular week they're too busy. If we switched it to monthly challenges and maybe added another art prize (something simple like a static icon, me and Dodo make those) but make the art prizes only of Spios from now on.
So far the art prizes have been of whatever people want but if we changed it to spio art prizes then not only would we be filling up the galleries a little bit every month but it might also attract attention to the species.
