Viserys Targaryen from Game of Thrones.

On a whim I decided to paint the first reference image I could find in my hard drive. (Why do you have white hair, Viserys.) It started out as a I'll-just-paint-when-I-feel-like-it relaxed piece, but once I got obsessed I couldn't stop. Took me 2 days, on and off. More on than off. When I wasn't sleeping or eating or outside thinking about finishing this, I was painting. I suppose I'm allowed to call this my first proper photorealism (but not so realism)? I did it. I didn't stray to any funky colours but ohhhh look it looks so flat! Hair is still horrible. My next subject is going to be bald.

Invaluable advice from Qing : 1) Paint what you see, not what you think you see and 2) It's like an out of focus picture that you have to slowly bring into focus. Those kept me from pulling my own hair out when I was painting his hair.
