Hala, a mΓ tambiΓ©n me sorprende eso de pintar en monocromo y luego en color. Pero bueno, me imagino que ayuda, y que cada uno usa lo que mejor le va.

This was very helpful... I like how the final product of the face looks a lot different from the initial sketch.

WUT?!
This tutorial is so intimidating!
I thought the last page was the only page
I'm so lazy when it comes to colouring and backgrounds - this tutorial really helps, but I'm almost crying with how good you are at this!

It's great of you to explain your steps. It's always a real pleasure when you see a great artist being honest and helpful.

so after you do the monotone base do you just overlay it with a color or do you actually repaint over it with color?

I paint over it with the colors, layer by layer

woa that must be tedious, but it obviously helps. what would you say the difference is in painting with and without a base? (and btw this really helps since i'm trying to understand digital painting better so thanks XD)

I like how you use an umber toned under-base instead of black and white like I've seen a lot of other artist use. It keeps your painting nice and warm. Very nice!
