My favorite photo from the yellow mongoose serie...
Species : Cynictis penicillata - Yellow Mongoose (mother and babies)
The yellow mongoose is a carnivorous small mammal which comes from the south of Africa (Angola, South Africa, Zimbabwe...). It feeds on other small mammals, lizards, snakes or even eggs. Its predators are birds of prey, snakes and jackals.
Size : 50cm lenght.
Weight : 0,5kg.
Location : MΓ©nagerie du Jardin des Plantes, Paris, France

honestly, they kinda look like a mix of a ferret and a fox lol. Forgive me, but knowing nothing about biology and whatnot, are mongeese (mongooses?) in the same family? i don't think i've ever seen a picture of a mongoose before :} they're adorable!
