Commission for Milk100 !!!

They wanted me to design a split-stage kraken Pokemon for them! So here it is!!!

The unevolved form is called Bubbken, classed as the Baby Squid Pokemon and a pure Water-type. Bubbken are usually born in the deepest depths of the ocean and swim up to the surface three days after birth. The coral that Bubbken has in its mouth behaves the same as a baby's pacifier, as the Pokemon will occasionally spit it out, even when unintentional. If the coral is out of Bubbken's mouth for too long, it will cry.

Bubbken evolves into two different Pokemon depending on whether an Ice Stone or a Fire Stone is used on it.

With an Ice Stone, Bubbken evolves into Icicraken, classed as the Glacier Squid Pokemon and a Water and Ice-type. Icicraken are very proud of the ice on their bodies and make sure it doesn't melt away by keeping away from places that are too hot for them. These Pokemon are rivals with Krakombustion and will fight whenever they cross paths. If Icicraken's body ice melts, it will get sick and won't be cured unless the ice has regenerated.

And with a Fire Stone, Bubbken evolves into Krakombustion, classed as the Angry Squid Pokemon and a Water and Fire-type. Krakombustion is always angry, allowing its fire to stay heated and burning. It is theorised that Krakombustion got its fire when it fell into a volcano by mistake, but that theory is currently considered false. Krakombustion and Icicraken are rivals and will fight when they meet.

Bubbken has the abilities Suction Cups or Rattled with the hidden ability Dry Skin. Icicraken has the abilities Slush Rush or Snow Cloak with the hidden ability Rivalry. And Krakombustion has the abilities Anger Point or Flash Fire with the hidden ability Rivalry.
