Description
This is yet another reference test to see how far I've come. I have drawn Tiger before and he was done pretty well then, but I noticed something different this time. While watching the movie, it was almost if my mind could break down the shapes below the color, etc...and that has never happened quite like that before. I think I am making another breakthrough. I am still studying real life anatomy and drawing it...I should post those sometime.Anyway, I do like how these came out. I like how my lines are becoming more animatorish, if that is a word. I need to try and start doing some animations too.

LOL whoever had that idea is a genius and really pulled the art and style off too. I will never forget the first time I saw that in theaters.Ā And I'm glad you enjoyed this, thanks. You might want to check out my K-9 Agency comic in my gallery, as Tiger is a main character in it too.

Yes, it was quite an experience. I was so mesmerized by animated movies back then. The traditional drawn animation has always been mind blowing to me. And no problem, you can find it here. fav.me/d2tq3px
You can find the "next page" link under my description of each comic. I hope that you enjoy what I have so far.

Well American Tail 2 wasn't done by Don Bluth but it was a FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR better film than the 1st. Just fro Wylie alone!

I really enjoyed both, but I did like the action and designs a bit better in 2. I always did like the "elder" characters and Wylie is no exception, great voice and design.

Those cats n that one drooling with a cigar in it's mouth. That's what I mean. Also I didn't like the way Tiger cut his teeth off with his claws.

Breakthroughs are wonderful things.
I mean you've seen all the instructional books where you see the process of making a ball for a head and placing a center line on the surface, then one day you start to see what that was all about then it becomes second nature to the way you look at a drawing.
Next thing you know you've got line confidence and don't have to spend any amount of time finding the shape you want.
Good to hear that you're finding your way.

Wow! Youve gotten good at drawing Tiger! And it does look animator-esk.
And Cat R. Waul! lol I loved him. Cause he was sort of evil, but funny at the same time. Kinda like Captain Hook.
As I said before, amazing job.

Back when I drew this, I never would have imagined I would come up with changing a bit of Tiger's design for my comic. How things have changed, no matter how much time as passed, thanks for the comment!

Ooh awesome! You included Cat R. Waul in there...I *love* him. ^_^ He has to be one of the best domestic feline villains EVER, next to Meowrice from Gay Purr-ee, and the villain from the original American Tail (i've forgotten his name right now, heh). Tiger's awesome of course, too. ^^ Overall, I love it, you have the movie's style down very well.
