I love how you color so much! Seriously, I would never think to do a blue-ish highlight in hair that was mostly in the red-orange range, yet it looks great here.
That background is very creative too
Just curious, when you scan your lineart to use on sai, do you usually have to mess around with the contrast/brightness? Maybe my scanner is just crap, but the lineart always comes out gray-ish, then I have to up the contrast, but then the fainter lines disappear...It's so annoying -.-

hi, sorry for my late reply. didn't really on my laptop much these few days during my deadline
concerning the lineart, 1st i scan to photoshop, in either grayscale or colour, 300dpi-1000dpi
in photoshop, yes, i adjust lighting somewhat to get rid of some lines. to avoid some lines from 'disappearing' as you said, i will sometimes adjust the midtones 1st, lol.Ā and then after i clean it a little, using clone tool, i save as jpg
then the file is reopened in sai. a copy of the layer, with lesser opacity is set as multiply or shade above original layer. then the colours i put in between this two layers, mostly as 'overlay'
i hope that makes sense

Don't worry, I understood it XD. I mostly use SAI but I'm starting to get the hang of Photoshop. I'll try out what you told me and hopefully I won't have those problems I used to when I scan.

ahaha, thanks. now i have finally understood more of photoshop's adjustment layers, i can use it to cover up my scene of crime---mainly those that look too weird or flat, lolol

I know the feeling~ I get it all the time, when art just doesn't want to work. Then suddenly the next day it comes out amasing (at least compared to previous attempts) and you wonder how on earth... (^o^)
