my entry for 's Frozen in Tme contest [link]

i made a story behind what i drew, so as to give it relevance *note* the bold words are words that are relevant to the theme as well as a hint of what will happen next..*:

'Don't worry Dill', whispered Andy, ' I'll definitely come back for you, it's a promise'. Little Prince Dillian nodded, tears running down his cheeks, his hands trembling as he held on to Andy's, the last few moments before he is sealed away.

'Go, young magician', say King Julian. 'This magic hourglass will ensure that the curse of the Sorcerer on Prince Dillian will not progress as planned by him. Break the curse before the last sands of the hourglass runs out'

Andy bowed in gratefulness to the King, who is even younger than he is, before he sets out to find the sorcerer that placed the curse on him, causing Prince Dillian to be affected as well.

'Will he succeed?', asked a voice next to the King's ears. Eventhough Julian can't see, he can sense where the demon Rufus is. Julian smiles into the air where he thinks Rufus is. 'Of course he will. Andy loves Dillian more than anyone else in the world. He will surely be victorious when facing the dread sorcerer.' Rufus cocks a doubtful eye at him. 'But the Sorcerer is powerful, so far, no one, not even Andy's grandfather, the renown sorcerer, Ferdinand has been able to defeat him. How can you be so sure?'

'Because love is the most powerful thing in the world my friend... it is, and always will be stronger than time.' Says Julian, as he stood up from his throne to go to the library. Though he can't see, he's learnt enough magic to do reading through a different method. 'After all...Andy has all the time in the world, so I wouldn't worry so much if I were you.'

Left behind, Rufus scratches his head, confused at Julian's last few words, looking at the inanimate body of Prince Dillian, who is frozen in time, then he picked up the hourglass that Julian left on the table. Suddenly, he gave a chuckle. 'Well, I will be, he sure takes after his grandfather. If that isn't a magic seal placed on the hourglass so that sand can't flow through, I will turn angel.' Still chuckling, he flew off to find Julian.

aaah...8D;;; i hope the organisers of the contest don't really mind that i role-played their three characters i chose to draw ~ i thought of the story, after reading of Andy's predicament here:[link] , and Julian's aspiration here: [link] since i thought showing characters being frozen in time is a tad cliche and boring, i made the story up, based on what info was given. okie, i will admit i was sold on Dillian when i first saw his designs---he's so cute!!!
