Description These sketches were drawn from a number of locations during my Tokyo trip .


  • The first page was from a few long train rides from the place I stayed in Tokyo and to special places such as Shibuya and Shinjuku which were around 40 minutes one way! Poor Ashworth who is getting his butt kicked by Fei's special attacks! XD

  • The second page was drawn back at the New Koyo Hotel. I was chillin' out with some travelers and they were telling me how impressive my work is!


  • And finally the last page was of sexy Duke & Salah were drawn during a massive lineup for a particular ride in Tokyo Disney Sea! A lot of the kids who lined up closed to me, my bro and his friends were watching... It's so cool to have people appreciating your work live!

    It's strange how Ashworth is meant to be the key to the welfare to the world yet he seems to get his ass kicked easily by Fei? Or are you just trying to provide some delicious fanservice to your fans? XD I'll always support Ashworth infinitely more.. though it's interesting that he isn't invincible.

    Also those poor boys. Even though I find calling out special attacks (Ala One Piece) to be so wap and silly, that Ruby's "Paradise kick" is just too hilarious a name that her saying it out is much approved! She's got a great post as well.

    Also haha at older Parmir. What a fruitcake! I think I'll always have a soft side for the kid version of himself. Even though.. isn't it "yatta"?

    Oh of course he can get his ass kicked. Though it won't be easy for Ash. ^^

    Yeah it's probably fan-service, stuff that you don't often find in the story. Unless Ash and Fei are play fighting.

    I would love to have Salah blowing out my candles, in fact I'd prefer if he could torch up any script of mine that is not good enough to be published! *fwwoph!*

    Ah I had a feeling that I spelt 'yatta' wrong. Been too much of a Westerner I guess. XD;

    Well that pretty much covers what I need to say. With the exception of an announcement to make to you and Oliver. In case you didn't get it earlier via Skype/e-mail then I'll be heading over to Sydney on 22nd - 26th May 2008.

    The only times I'll be free to do whatever is from 22nd-23rd (which is on a Thursday and Friday) My sister and I should be touching Sydney very early in the morning at the hotel at CBD are of Sydney. We could arrange something there if you wish during one of the days I'm free. *thumbs up* The other days I'll be off with my sis and her friend up North (Hunter Valley ~ apparently it's a lovely touristy town just like Perth's Mageret River down South)

    Anyways take care and hope everything continues to go well down your end! Loved the Subway comic basing it off your RL experience... I won't forget when I had to close KFC for the night with my manager. *thumbs up*

    Or in Japanese, I think it's called "Sandetsuken" or something. He inflicts 15 supersonic punches on the enemy and finishes of this another push him/her back. The Whirlwind Typoon looks a lot similar.

    Sorry for my lack of comments again...End of the school year and it's been killing me. @_@;; Anywho, lovely sketches! Whoo! Go Fei! I kinda feel sorry for Ash though. XD Certainly one heck of a move Fei's got there! Ruby looks awesome as ever! I can't get enough of Ash, Parmir, and Fei's face. XD I bet if a Paradise Kick was directed towards either Leon or Stream, they wouldn't act so cool then. XP Course, I doubt that would ever happen...especially to Stream... I wonder if I've ever mentioned that I find Adult Parmir to be rather cute. XD;; Last but not least, the ever-so sexy Duke and Salah. ;D They definitely bring sexy back. *Silver walks in wearing black..* Oh dear, not again.

    First one:

    Wow, Ash, you better be less cocky if you don't want this to happen to you again. That rapid fire attack looks devastating, in either form, and I've watched Anime that had characters using a rapid punch, or a rapid kick attack, and both are very devastating to the opponent. So I have definite respect for Fei.

    Strike: ::Nods in agreement:: I wouldn't want to be on the recieving end of that for sure.

    Second one:

    Aw man, that Paradise Kick has got to hurt. I wonder what Ash and Fei did to deserve it? Probably got into enough of a fight with each other to tick Ruby off. XD As for Parmir, well, dems da breaks with bein' a perv, you know? XD He he he he. And though I don't know what Steam and Leon did to deserve it, but I know Stream's power is no laughing matter. Especially to survive something that would incapacitate a normal guy for at least 5 minutes. And Leon, either he's got a lot of will power, or his power nearly matches Stream's own. And I'm speaking from experience with being hit down there. X_X And managing to not be incapacitated either. ^_^;;;

    Strike: At any rate, I wouldn't want to be hit with that either...

    Can't say much more for Parmir though, nice designs for both of his shown forms.

    Third one:

    Those two are certainly handsome looking gentlemen. Easy to see how they would probably have a following of fan girls, though not as much as say, Fei does. XD

    Strike: ::looks at soem angry/jealous Salah and Duke Fangirls, and sweat drops:: Uh, Garrick, you might want to run...

    Why? ::Sees the angry Duke and Salah Fangirls looking at him:: o_o Oh... ::Runs off::

    Strike: Seeing as Garrick's a little indisposed of at the moment, I'll take over, since he and I are the same personality wise. Continuing our thoughts... It is very interesting to note what Salah means in Malay. Rather ironic, actually, seeing as he's such a good guy, to have a name that means "wrong..." Anyways, you're doing a great job as always. Keep up the good work.

    Whee! Yay! More of Leon! Haha, I was eating a family classic- Sloppy noodles- and I glimpsed him and all the noodles managed to fall out of my mouth and (luckily) back into the bowl. Classic fan-girl moment there eh? HURRAH FOR LEON! *Glomps the cool, calm shadowmage* And as for that kick.... Wow, if he can keep his cool through that then I have yet ANOTHER respect for him! LOL! the gleam on his glasses makes me just burst out giggling.

    It's always so much fun to se your sketches because the characters seem to have so much life in them. It's amazing how you can portray their emotions even when you're just briefly sketching. Fei and Ashworth are looking cooler then ever and Ruby is deadly as ever with that kick of hers.... Especially from the guys point of view, I'd guess!

    Anyway, finally on to Duke and Salah. Salah's looking as awesome as ever, and for a second I notice something about Duke looked different.... Has he always just had a pad on his just left shoulder or am I just being wierd again?

    Amazing and fantastic job like always.

    Patience however will lead you to sweet rewards. I'm now trying to figure out what is Leon's favourite flower/plant... He's is a botanist, done for a hobby and for research purposes because a lot can be learnt about the roots of magic just by studying plants/fauna/flowers. *thumbs up*

    Looking for a favorite plant of his? Hmm, for some reason I've always thought of Snapdragons (Antirrhinum) plants. I've always thought they were cool mostly because not only are they commonly described as beautiful, but a symbol of power and strength, as they get their name from resembling a dragon's head and bared teeth.

    Anyway, good luck finding his plant! :3

    You know what?

    I'm going to have to go with your Snapdragon idea. Why? First off I did think about it (when compared to Foxgloves) but also I didn't realise the deeper meaning behind this plant species that you have described poetically. Secondly Snapdragons are a childhood memory of mine. My most favourite flowers that I grew during those days were Marigolds and Snapdragons (in my mum's garden patch) They were the best! (love the scent, shape and colour the flowers it had).

    XXD Wow! Really? You gre flowers in your garden? To be honest, snapdragons are one of my favorites aswell, also thanks to memories of my own younger days (Not to young though. Maybe I was six...?) when I assisted my grandmother in planting a garden with them.

    Hmm, I'm very glad you decided to go for the snapdragon. I think it is a great choice! :3 And with your own memories it adds a personal touch to the character.
