"What's a date with Doof like?"
In a few minutes Doofenshmirtz climbed out from underneath the engine with a sigh. "Yeah, I don't think it's getting off the ground any time soon." He drew a gloved hand across his face, leaving a grimy streak, and then folded his arms tightly. "Perry the Platypus, aren't you cold?"
Perry wasn't particularly, not yet. There are some advantages to thick watertight fur.
"No? Oh, I get it, you're semi-aquatic. You're probably all 'adapted' for 'survival'," said Doofenshmirtz bitterly. "You think you're so smart, with all your f-fancy th-thermoregulation."
Perry shrugged broadly, apologetic--although, really, he couldn't help it. It wasn't as though he was keeping warm out of spite. Still, he glanced at his companion with some concern: he hadn't been accounting for human vulnerability to the elements. They didn't have any time to waste. Perry activated his wrist communicator.

Okay first off that fic was adorable. That sucker's going in my bookmarks folder.
As for the pic itself, the colours alone, just...me gusta. I don't know why exactly, but I especially like the use of purple for Perry in the place of red, just visually. Although all I can think now that I've noticed it is that his butt must be cold. Poor thing. Doof, put him on your lap, you jerk, unless you want his tail to freeze off. D:< Then he'd just be some kind of duck thing, sans beaver tail.
Also, I am pleased to see the return of Doof's parka. He wears it well. :3

I like moments like that when they just slow down and just enjoy their company with each other. Especially in close to doom situations. I hope my picture can get that story more exposure. Because it deserves it.
Frostbite on one's heiny sounds awful.
But thank you! This picture is filled with so much purple and blues. The cooler icy colors really make them pop out. That, and the painted BG with the black outlines. I should try it again sometime.
That Parka...I'm amused Candace has the exact coat, but in pink...It's like Doof accidentally shopped from the woman's section.

Which they do in the story. Buuut, naturally I went for the funnier idea. I've been trying to keep the tumblr pretty even for both the non- and the perryshmirtz shippers a-like. So then I get questions about marriage and dates, and then I have to think of a joke that the show might use.

Did you write the story? I should of asked Dan if Perry and Doof are an official couple at that Times Talk thing in July. But, I asked if he'll ever get a permanent girl-friend, instead.

I did not. Though I HAVE written Doofenshmirtz related stories.
Personally, I think Dan and Swampy know that what they are doing comes off as fruity. I don't think it'll ever be allowed to be canon...But I think they get a kick out of the fanservice. I think they like going "LOLOLOLOLOL Guys...Let's see how gay we can make them in this episode, while being totally straight at the same time. "

That will never happen. His misery is such a great source of comedy.
But I think his relationship with Vanessa is improving.
It's something he's allowed some happiness in.
And of course he has Perry. Which won't get romantic (apart from all the implied stuff) but he can sometimes show he cares for him.

I wrote some Doof stories. But they are mostly Doof/Cynthia fluff and nothing else. 
I know, me too. I really would love to see him with that Evil Girl of his. They were so cute together. Plus, those two need more fan-art.

I must have confused you with my gibberish. that's what my comment was saying. I think they think it's just funny. tend to come up with jokes and crack pairings with my own characters all the time, though I'd never actually ship it in my own universe. I think it's just one of those things people do to amuse themselves. Though, i would not protest if Dan and Swamp actually shipped them for real.

Oh, alright, sometimes I misinterpret sentences wrong.
I think I told you my crack paring of Doof/Slappy Squirrel. I need to draw those two, again. I know Slappy isn't a fan of the new-fangled characters these days. But, for some reason, Doof would be an exception. 
I don't remember it was a couple of months ago. But, he talked about his Evil Girlfriend in "Chez Platypus." Jeff, then stated that the only woman that lasted long with him was Charlene and they are divorced. The whole interview thing is online. But, it's an hour and a half.

It doesn't actually repulse me, but it just doesn't make sense to me. I DO, however, LOVE their whole frenemy relationship. I love fics where Perry is sick or injured, and Doof takes care of him, refusing to fight him or carry out his plans when he's in such a weakened state. So cuuuute.

Thank you. I thought it was the perfect excuse to draw Doof in his winter coat. I did get lazy on this one and did just a black outline. But meeeeh. I think it works here.
