I can't envision backgrounds well so i figured i should at least make an attempt at practicing them1. .D's bedroom (HH)
My first serious attempt at what part of his bedroom looks like (and it took the longest out of all the bg tests). I've always had this basic idea but i amended it a bit (for eg making his window a bit more of a box window so he could sit in it a little. This little change also helps Izm not fall and die when he's climbing in as it's something to steady against. I may sketch the other half and the other boy's rooms too soon.
The fairy lights were Izm's doing - "c'mon man we gotta give your room some ambiance you hardly got anything up on the walls that giant calendar does not count".
2. Eid "cornered" in an alley (OA/CA superhero AU)
Playing around with barnumyay.com/post/15246032733… and we had to give our character the first random superpower we got.
Eid somehow managed to get something connected with his original form; powerlisting.wikia.com/wiki/Um…
Those guys really picked the wrong kid to mess with lol.
3. Invader Zim's base (IZ)
WOWOWO BLAST FROM ZE PAST
This one literally took the shortest time i think i was done in like an hour or something (you just have to make everything look weird and mechanical). Pink and blue are such nice colours to work with together.4. Foot Warehouse (TMNT)
With my favourite turtle |D Did this one purely for the silhouette and the angle. I was going to add people on the floor but my grasp of perspective is not great and i didnt want to punish myself lol.

Haha it's actually a double bed, so a little bit smaller than a queen. The room is actually not super huge (about the same size or a bit smaller than the usual 2 person bedroom of HH), but comparatively since there's only one person living in it is quite roomy
Izm's little trundle bed-cot-thing goes under .D's bed hidden behind the travel storage boxes and gets pulled out and set up on the window side of partly underneath the desk because they're technically not meant to sleep in a room that hasnt been assigned to them so doing that minimises the risk of someone actually seeing Izm when he's there

(ffft tell me about it i'm just coming off a week holiday and it's not enough XD). I think .D's room is my favourite too, it was quite interesting actually thinking about an interior scene and how it would be layed out! One day i'mma gonna have to do the other boy's bedrooms as well and i'm quite excited for it

The Eids are my favourite out of the set I think, great job with the framing of the attackers in the foreground and it's just really cool and dramatic.
I think you did a pretty decent job with the perspective in the last one, though the warehouse is looking a bit devoid of life

But in all seriousness, your work looks amazing. I always admire the way you can add mood lighting to a scene so fluidly where you can instantly tell what's the emotion that stands out in a picture right away :3 Also, perspective and angle skills are incredible, loving how your backgrounds are made mostly out of city scenarios however none of it looks 'stiff'.

I have to admit, my favorite one out of these is .D's room. The contrast is really nice and the colours you used kind of have a nice home-y feel to it. ^^
I really like the others too! Pink and blue... I might have to experiment with that palette!

I was trying to make it look sunsetty, that always has a nice warm glow to it! I'm glad it seems to have worked
Ooh you def should, if you pick the right shades they blend together so nice ^^ And like, depending on what you choose you get all the nice different nuances from it - like pale pink and blue is sweet and baby-ish, or if you get them more neon and with black or something to offset it becomes very modern and mechanical/techno/alien looking etc etc

We always knew that Izm would be the one to decorate their apartment if they ever lived together. So much black, white, and red IKEA furniture.
