Squall from Final Fantasy 8 is a great character to draw. He's so simple in design and so recognisable. The only thing that niggles me is that he's a bit too pretty. Not that I don't find him attractive, but I think how attractive and cool looking he is detracts from his personality and struggles.I drew this and inked it with very minimal shading and stuff. He's not as cool or pretty as many people would draw Squall, I was trying more to capture his personality. I imagine Squall more as a good looking guy who doesn't always look it because he's always frowning. His clothes aren't as well fitting as the game version's, I wanted to make him look less cool and stylish, it just suits his personality better. His hair is wilder than the game version too. I guess you could say this is my personal Squall.

I didn't design Squall Leonhart, but I do think he's cool (and had a major crush on him when I first played FF8 aged 15!) I love the character design in FF8, they're not as complex or over the top as the ones in FF10 or FFX-2, they look like clothes you could wear in real life, yet they're really cool and individual. It's my favourite Final Fantasy because the characters are so much like real teenagers.

Hm... Final Fantasy huh? I've never played or watched it (I believe it's a game and movie... or am I wrong XD) But I do like the characters they've designed ^.^ I still think it's very pretty XD *adds to fave*

Haha, I never thought I'd meet a person on the internet who doesn't know Final Fantasy ^_^
It's a (very long) series of very good Japanese RPGs, which have inspired a film (which wasn't as good as the games) and an anime (which also wasn't as good as the games). Final Fantasy 4, 5 and 6 are on the Super Nintendo (snes) but can be bought in Playstation versions, FF7,8 and 9 (and Tactics) are Playstation games, 10 and 10-2 (X-2) are PS2 games (and soon FF12 will be) FF11 is an online game and FF Tactics advance is on GBA.
I'd recommend any of the FF's, even 9, my least favourite. They have really great stories, characters and graphics, and you don't need a lot of gaming skill to play them so anybody can play through one with patience. You should be able to buy any of them on Amazon, and the PS2 ones will definitely be in your nearest game store (if you have a PS2 that is). You can get FF7 and 8 in PC versions too.

LOL! I have heard of Final Fantasy, but it never really drawed my attention ^^. Looks like you know a lot about FF! If I didn't have this much homework, I would positively try it out! But I just haven't got the time for it XD
