I built Crow T Robot and Tom Servo a few years ago. I havent been happy how Crow's paint job turned out... and since it's been a few years the paint seemed to have faded. I spent the last few days disassembling Crow and repainting him.I had used a gold undercoat and put on a few layers of his trademark Lime Gold color. He looks much nicer now!

Years ago - during the series original run, during the showing of (the infamous?) Manos: The Hands Of Fate showing, they - actually, Crow - me a riff about someone who's widow I knew (when Manos' brides are about to (cat)fight, Crow says; 'but, first, funny man Morty Gunty.' I know his wife).
I saw her - Marilyn - a couple of days after it aired, and told her - thinking she'd be honoured - and see it was meant with love.Β Even her daughter, Laurie saw the episode, and - likewise, happily shared the news with her mom.
She didn't get it.Β
I wrote to them - and was VERY pleasantly surprised when they sent me autographed pictures - not the 'fake' kind, but, genuine autographs (they made jokes '''bout me - esp. Crow).
It was such a wonderful surprise - I still treasure my pictures, and will always hold them (esp. Crow) close to me 0 for making me laugh so hard, so many times - for so long.
I wish I had a Crow, like you, and just wanted to tel you how handsome he looks - all spiffy & bright.

You can get some of the parts of eBay... also there are people who sell parts if you look at the bot building yahoo group. Also try www.joecrow.com!

I have brought them to comic conventions, The Rocky Horror Picture show, and the bots were part of a wedding! People are really amazed when they see the bots!

Hmm, just like the show. Maybe it was the change in lighting but I always thought the scifi era Crow was shinier... and it's as thought he had a completely different voice and personality!

Crow was definately shinier during the Sci-Fi channel era. He did have a new voice playing him

During the Sci-Fi era, I believe they based Crow off how he was done in the movie (how he was assembled and such)

I think it was def the lighting! I re-watched some of season 5 on Netflix and Crow's paint job looked pretty nice!

sweet! Joecrow.com has some good starter parts. Tom Servo is the one that has the most replicated parts (since they are impossible to find), buy you can find some Crow parts pretty cheap on eBay.
