Description
Between 1945 and 2012 the Westbahnhof (west station) was one of two main stations of Vienna. In 2012 the former Südbahnhof (south station), the other main station, was replaced by the Hauptbahnhof (main station) which also partly replaced the Westbahnhof, which was on the one hand downgraded to a very large regional station with barely no long distance-relations anymore but get on the other hand a shopping mall, offices, more restaurants and hotels.
