H I S T O R Y
Kithood || Flashkit and Spark-kit were born in the wake of a failed relationship. Their parents had been young lovers, but began to drift apart as they aged. The pregnancy had been unplanned, pushing their father Nettletail further away. He claimed he didn't want kits in the first place, and broke off his relationship with their mother shortly before the kits were born. Swiftfeather was somewhat upset, but knew it was for the best. She didn't want her kits to feel unwanted, and staying with Nettletail would only make them all miserable.
After his birth, Flashkit always seemed to be up and moving around, darting around the nursery and chasing bugs. Swiftfeather loved her kits, but couldn't help it when her eyes would drift to Nettletail across the clearing as the kits played in camp. Flashkit would notice his mother's solemn gaze and made it his goal to distract her every time. She would never be sad when she watched him, and Flashkit subsequently made himself the center of attention at all hours. He would brag to his mother about every little accomplishment he made, from catching bugs to beating Spark-kit in a play fight. He preened on his mother's praise, and began to believe he really was the best in the Clans.

Apprenticeship || As Flashkit became Flashpaw, the world expanded and provided new opportunities to the young cat. Now he could prove himself to other cats besides his mother, and learn skills that really could make him the best. He held himself on a higher pedestal than his peers, believing that he already was, or would grow to be better than them in due time. He became somewhat obnoxious, as a kits cute boasting turned into an apprentice annoying gloating, and friends were few and far between. He remained close to his sister, Sparkpaw, at the very least.
As the flood hit, Flashpaw remained optimistic about the move. He was eager to see what it was like outside of ThunderClan territory, and eagerly followed his clanmates along the path to their new home. As the Clans intermingled, walls were lowered and Flashpaw found himself talking to many apprentices from RiverClan. It was a hard blow for the Clan when Smokestar passed away in the mountains, but Flashpaw quickly bounced back as the group continued on. It was a hard journey that lasted many moons, but eventually Flashpaw and his Clan arrived at their new home. Upon their arrival, Dovestar called upon several apprentices whose ceremonies were long overdue. Flashpaw requested the suffix -flood to honor their journey, and those who were lost along the way.

Warrior Life || As Flashflood settled into his new name, the Clans settled into their new homes. ThunderClan chose a new camp and the yellow warrior was eager to help out, patching up walls and moving branches out of the way. Despite the comrades he'd made on the journey, Flashflood was ready to fight for their new territory should the need arise.
