A comic that I drew for the Ruskin Glass Centre located in the Glasshouse College. There's quite a story to how this one came about, and because such I'm a generous guy, I'm going to tell you it:

Last month the cafe in the Ruskin Glass Centre made a massive jaffa cake (16 inches to be exact) to celebrate the cafe's opening. Around the same time, I had this squirrel design knocking about for a glass project as part of my work experience. My tutor Ian showed it to some of the staff in the cafe, and they were so impressed that they commissioned me to produce a comic strip inspired by the large jaffa cake, with my furry chum as the star of the show.

Originally the character was (rather half-heartedly to be honest) called 'Nutty' but Ian suggested we change it to 'Rusky' to fit with the Ruskin Glass name. After doing a few brainstorming sketches, I came up with a storyline and did a rough strip which Ian approved of, and I finished it off in the publishing workshop using some sharpie pens and tracing paper.

Overall, I had a fun time making the strip even though I had to redraw it about 3 times (it's difficult to erase on tracing paper cus it leaves nasty marks), and I'm really looking forward to seeing it in some of the college publications.
