That COULD be a possibility since Spock was suffering from Pon-Farr plus his mind still that of a young boy.
Also Savvik was alone with him and David was checking for the Klingons. In that span of time, Saavik might done it with Spock to soothe him until Kruge and his men came back with David.
That also explains why Saavik stood on Vulcan instead coming back to Earth wth Kirk and the crew.
Cool What if? my friend.

Stirring image. I heard there was a line Kirk was supposed to say, something along the lines of "You shouldn't travel with us in your condition," that would have have lent legitimacy to it in the movies. The books, I'm told, picked up the slack.

Yes, there is a book coming out in 2010, called "Unspoken Truth" which is said to deal with Saavik's pregnancy.
Also, in the Vulcan's Soul series, Spock and Saavik are married. Picard's line in TNG's "Sarek" on him beign present on Sarek's son's wedding is elaborated as Spock and Saavik's wedding.

Thanks for the heads up about the new book!I didn't know.
The TNG line was a nod to the books which came out around that time, yea? Writers from both series moonlighted in both realms. Would have been nice if they tried to maintain continuity, but it matters not now since its all about Spock and Uhura in this alternate verse.

I like to think that Saavik and her and Spock Prime's 3 children still live in the Prime Universe.

Na, Vulcan's Soul was the child of the 2000's, two decades after TNG: Sarek.
As for Spock/Uhura: in the novelisation of the movie, it is stated that Uhura isn't feeling love toward Spock, but an overwhelming instinct to comfort him in his great tragedy.

Well, I read the novelisation of the book too and I got something different from that. Especially since there was a few lines about how what they did, the hugging, caressing and whatnot, was done effortlessly, like they had practice.
But I did not know that fact about the Vulcan's Soul books. I just cut my teeth on the TOS PBs so I've got a bit of catching up to do. Sounds hella' interesting tho'.

My all-time favourite Trek book is The Pandora Principle. It is esentially Saavik's backstory. Saavik is my favourite Trek character, so TPP was the choice for me

Ha! I have a copy of that. I got a box of Star Trek books real cheap and I've been working my way through it since. Looks like TPP has been bumped up my list, behind the first 'Shatnerverse' book--which is supposed to be epically lulz-worthy. Thus far, my favourite book has been, "Troublesome Minds."

Why that Spock! How dare he leave her behind! DX Jk jk, brilliant take on the original, I absolutely ADORE creativity! Thanks so much, lovely pic with a stunning storyline.
The question now? Will Spocky ever find out? Keep it up, as always, love your work!!!

Beautiful image, Dave.
Well, Dave with all this speculation about Saavik bearing Spock's child,if it true Saavik would be the mother of Spock's second child. Remember ST: OS episode"All our Yesterdays" when McCoy and Spock was trap in the past. Spock did have a Kirk moment with Zarabeth and produced a son.

And yeah, you're right. There is actually a pro novel about Zar, the son of Zarabeth and Spock finding a was back to the Atavacron (?) and meets Spock.

Thanks. You have to hand it to old Vulcan. James T. had to die and be brought back to life by the Borg in order to have his first child. LOL

Yep the Shatnerverse. Funny thing, Kirk did get married in Shatnerverse to a half Klingon and half Romulan. Talk about sleeping with enemy.

Half Klingon, half Romulan? Well, old Jim Kirk always had a taste for exotique

I love it! I was going to ask you if you ever did characters or just ships, and here you have this!
Great use of the colors and shadows in the sunset to show both her troubles - being left behind and while pregnant, wondering about the future -- and at the same time, as someone else said, a cozy or warm feeling even while mixed with the other. Especially leaving her face in shadow while the body is in light. Wonderful job.

Thank you very much. Actually, I shadowed her face as it's a random face morph, not really Robin Curtis or Kirstie Alley.
Posting it on the website? I'd be honored!
