Description
Here is my second painting based on a photograph of lake Fosstjønna in Litjbuan, Norway. The photo was taken by a friend who lives near this beautiful place, and he describes it as a paradise on earth.

This is a 10x7 inch acrylic painting on canvas, all done with painting knives. I used my favourite Cryla paints, and the colours used were Ultramarine (or course), Titanium white, Zinc white, lemon yellow, raw umber, burnt sienna, yellow ochre a little olive green (all of the other greens are mixed) and a little Carmine crimson.

I didn't use a palette at all - all of the paint went straight from tube to knife, and then mixed on the canvas.

Photographed in strong evening sunshine to bring out the heavy texture.
