Description
It was such a lovely day today that I painted outside in the garden - this is a view of a trellis full of clematis, with some tulips planted in front. It is 8x8 inches, Cryla acrylic on canvas, all painted with painting knives. Colours used were ultramarine, titanium white, lemon yellow, raw sienna, napthol red, nickel titanium yellow and pthalo green.
Photographed in strong sunlight to bring out the heavy impasto texture...

I've perused your gallery and I love your technique with acrylic. You impart a richness that makes me want to swipe my finger through and taste it. Wonderful eye candy.

Very impasto indeed! You used the small canvas well. I like all of the different greens. Oddly enough, I recognized the tulips right away. You really captured them with just a few brushstrokes.

Beautiful, amazing and intense! love how it has this motion into it, maybe it is the way the paint textures it, the effect it gives is gorgeous and breathtaking

I love the cloud in the back - not only does it give the painting depth, but it creates this encompassing feeling - like you're actually IN the flowers. Great work
