then i am honored by your adoration... i always watch your works particularly those infested with popes, as you know my work is focused on religious(catholic) blasphemy...and your Bosch and Tanguy inspired works are bleesed apparitions...James koehnline is right to recommend you to me...

It is good, definitely, but I'd suggest that you have to discover what it is yourself first, then ask the question. I've got that feleing that you had an idea which you couldn't not explain.

Thanks, but I was half joking when I suggested it might be an umbrella - it is actually meant to be the spear of destiny! The title offers a clue to the picture's meaning. Longinus was the Roman soldier who pieced the sides of the crucified Christ with his lance to ensure that he was dead (the lance later became known as the spear of destiny). By depicting a cleric as Longinus, I'm suggesting that the authority of the church has in effect 'finished off' the messiah and killed his message (the word corruptus is actually meant as 'corrupt us' but I merged the two words to make it sound like latin - I thought it was more amusing that way).
Of course it could also be seen as an umbrella - though many of my pictures have a definite meaning, I am still very much influenced by the surrealists and by the process known as automatic drawing, and so there's a deliberate ambiguity to many of the forms that appear in my work.

yes, you can see it that it is the automatic drawing.
well, thank you for explaining it to. now i feel ashamed, as I study religion.... But I keep myself away from Christianity since I was 8 possibly.... Now it does make sense, good job, good interpretation, lets cal it.

No problem - thanks for asking, as my original comment was probably a bit too vague. I never know how much to explain my work. The meaning is never entirely obvious, nor is it ever entirely deliberate. I have a tendency to impose meaning after the event, but that can be a bit like trying to interpret your own dreams - your conscious mind interferes with what's actually there. It can also stop other people finding a different interpretation.

Yeah, I suggest it is my fault. Obviously when it is this sort of free art then it is hard to know it's real meanig. I saw this one and I was confused, then I looked through the whole gallery of yours and realised what it's all about. Mea coulpa. It's a great gallery, I wish you a lot of success, I really do.

Thank you - I've not had a lot of success yet, but I think I'm still in the process of earning it!
