A really impressive image, not only visually striking, but also beautiful and evocative. A trick as simple as turning the grass red is enough to convey a strong feeling of alienness, while the foetal position of the cosmonaut imbues the picture with frailty and poignancy. It is a superb variation on the theme of all those strangers in a strange land and men who fell to Earth (or Mars), disoriented by the uncanny ways of a new world, the longing for a faraway home and the memories of lost love. Masterful.
