Old slide taken at the National Museum in Washington DC in the first couple of hours that the King Tutankhamen exhibit was opened in the first tour here in the US.. I had been at the Air and Space museum across the way and on the way out..we saw them unfurling the Tut banner on the museum and walked over. There was NO line..NO charge..and we were about the ONLY people there..that changed rather quickly and there were always huge lines and fees to get in for a glimpse of his treasures. I've always wondered how I got so lucky as to be in the right place at the right time like that!!!Related content

Sorry about the duplicate comment. Now I understand why I've never seen this pic before....you have it in your scraps. Why is that? You realise that nowadays a pic of King Tut's mask is rare as you can't take pics of it in the Cairo Museum where it is normally displayed. Move it out of your scaps man!!!!

Nice shot, after seeing his treasures in the Cairo Museum always amazed me how they crammed so much into such a small tomb
