Alright, just stop. This is an opinion, not facts. The reason why Invader Zim was cancelled is due to budget and low ratings. However, there is a moving coming out and hopefully, with the community this big, it will be returning for more seasons. All nick focuses on is Spongebob and the jokes are now turning crappy. Patrick looks like a complete moron and seems like it is being forced. Spongebob is just annoying and the rest of the characters are just thrown in there for a story and plot. This is NOT what should happen in a show. Characters, even the world they are thrown in. Need a backstory, not throwing them in a world, giving some character models, names, and calling it a day. Invader Zim actually had BACKSTORY and characters that many people can relate to. I relate to Gaz,Zim, and Dib because they are all similiar to me. I shout and scream a lot, I like paranormal, and I hate socializing. Spongebob threw that all away and Nick can barely make any good TV show. Want to know why? They focused so much on Spongebob that all I see is crappy and uninteresting shows. They barely know how to make a good show because they are so focused on Spongebob. It's ridiclous. And lets just put aside, Zim is not really even a BAD VILLIAN. He is just over confident, and some people are. But that is how his character is SUPPOSED to be dumbass. Final resolute? Spongebob ruined Nick. One of the most horrid shows I have ever seen, and I am glad it is getting taken down in the future. Maybe then actual GOOD TV shows can appear on Nick instead of something thrown together.

It was cancelled in 2003...Secondly, you shouldn't post opinions. People can do a lot worse like insult you. I only provided facts and backed up said facts with proof. I grew up watching spongebob, only twice and I despised both episodes. Then again it was probably because at the time I loved making OCs, and making backstories. I guess thats why I never exactly fell in love with spongebob. After I found out about invader zim I loved the show to BITS it was so different compared to other shows, which is why I found it interesting. Same with the voice cast.

It may not be Spongebob's fault, but it sure is Nick's fault for bringing the most dumbass TV show in existence. Fun fact, they chose Fanboy and Chum Chum over Adventure Time. Let that sink in. I'd rather be watching a TV show that has creativity and thought put into it instead of boys running around with wearing underwear OUTSIDE their clothing, and acting like they are all that.

I love spongebob and Zim but the problem doesn't lie in which is a better show it matters to how much nickelodeon could squeeze out of the show. Think about it the reason spongebob it still going is because the show has a different atmosphere than Invader Zim and when it came to profiting for the future...Invader Zim would have a trouble. Invader Zim has a heavier plot, characters, and atmosphere and knowing nickelodeon in order to make the changes they wanted it would have to be a show with a simpler plot so it would seem that nothing has changed. For Invader Zim it would have to be changed from the inside and out. I hate to say it though I'm kind of happy it happened to spongebob though. Invader Zim has nostalgia and spongebob does too but in the older episodes. Blame Nickelodeon for the horrible profiting scam.

Let me rephrase the sentence. Yes, Zim didn't get financially succeeded, the reason why it didn't is because Zim was to be aimed for children, but some audiences (parents included) criticize the show for giving some quite bizarre nature and dark atmosphere, that they thought that the children may feel squeamish or scared. I never said that the series was cancelled by Spongebob. However Nick can not produce anymore good shows because they only know how to write for Spongebob. Secondly, Invader Zim never really had issues with adults either, in fact it was never even brought up yet for some reason people seize to believe that is one of the primary facts.

The only facts that Invader Zim was cancelled for is budget issues, and low ratings. No body had complained about the show. However people older then the prime audience was watching the show. Still it was a pretty dumb move on Nick's side. I am sure more people would of continued to watch it if the show kept running for at least one more season.

REGARDLESS...Zim is the superior Nicktoon of these two because he didn't deviate from his path. The show was supposed to be dark yet humorous.

it may come back some point in July,but I don't think spongebob made invader zim get canceld,it was because one of the million stuck up Whiney parents thought that it was blood and guts and not just pizza sauce and pizza that was gir was covered in which really ticked me off when I heard that. And yes I don't like spongebob anymore as much as I did when I was younger like maybe six or five but now I hate it. I love invader zim don't get me wrong but I don't think it was all spongebob's fault that invader zim got canceld :/ plus spongebob was aired in 1999 way before invader zim was aired everybody knows that. But if it's your opinion I don't care just as long as me and you don get into nasty comment wars then I'm cool with it.
