"Somewhere in the world there is a place cascading with darkness. The creatures there are ruthless, relentless, and heartless. They do nothing but kill and eat, there is no food chain, only malice. These creatures of darkness have claimed nearly every life of any foolish, greedy or brave souls who dare to visit this place. It has been dubbed “Raze” by the people of today.
However, in the heart of the land, where the moon’s light is able to penetrate through the darkness, there is a glade. A forest full of trees, mushrooms, and flowers. It is a miracle such a place can exist. Some of the shadow creatures were drawn to this place, it is said that they felt the presence of the moon and were guided to this place. Once here, they did not fight, in fact, they began to coexist. The moon had transformative effects on these shadow creatures, they became more calm, serene, and began to develop empathy. Like the moon’s pull on the tides, these shadow creatures became amorphous and fluid, and even began to resemble the moon in some ways. They dubbed themselves “The Moon’s Dew.”
As time went on they evolved, becoming much smarter and advanced than the savage creatures outside of their forest. One day, they spotted some creatures not native to their land, humans. The humans did not last very long but their sighting made a lasting impression on the moon dew. They gathered up what items the humans left behind and emulated their shape as they had taken quite a fancy to them. They even tried to emulate the way they communicated, with speech."
