I have wondered, if there was some sort of alternate magical medieval dimension that was next to ours, and our governments wanted to conduct operations in that world, what kind of restrictions would be placed on our special forces teams that went into the field. Would our modern weapons and technologies not work as well or not at all in that world and so we would have to go back to older weapons and technologies. I read a science fiction novel years ago about interstellar mercenaries who are hired to fight on various planets. On each one, their weapons and other gear was restricted to the same technology level as that planet's. On the world shown in this render, they would be restricted to swords, bows, etc., (maybe black power guns/cannons), and no mechanized transport.
