The thing I love about Snake eyes is that he doesn't have to be a classically Asian, all traditional, crouching tiger, hidden dragon, type, armed with the knowledge of the universe, to be a martial artist (That would be Storm Shadow)
He's a white guy, who plays by his own rules and doesn't mind using a gun and wearing kevlar.

Your animated style is amazing. It can be stylized but still realistic. This Snake Eyes is awesome. The sense of velocity in the pose is very well done.

thats awesome, I was soooo annoyed with his origin story in the movie - the whole breaking into storm shadows place (and why were the masters all shao-lin types? Was waiting to see Master Po the whole time) and taking a vow of silence after Storm Shadow killed his master... was just like wtf? The old Marvel comics origin would have worked fine - both knew eachother from service in the US Army, Snake eyes loses his family to a drunk driver and was going off the rails and Storm Shadow takes him to Japan to stay with his family and he finds peace and purpose in the Arashikage clan and their is a lot of jealousy as Snake Eyes does so well there and then Zartan kills the master and everyone blames Storm Shadow and then back in the USA Snake Eyes joins GI Joe and one of their early missions the helicopter he's in crashes and is on fire but he saves everyone (scarlett among them for memory) but gets all burned up in the process - losing the ability to speak and is all facially disfigured - which is why he always has a mask of some sort (even a realistic looking flesh one and blonde hair etc. in some issues)
But no, they butchered it. Maybe they will redeem themselves with a sequel?

hiya best guy ronin06! i love your write-up and the effort put into it! i totally agree with your sentiments towards the movie snake eyes story.... the movie was poor all around, but i inexplicibly had fun watching it, except for the tacked-on and underwhelming snake eyes/storm shadow treatment - that was even more infuriating than the point of the baroness becoming good. snake eyes should have been allowed to just do awesome stuff and be a mystery, leaving any origin story/link to storm shadow for an inevitable sequel. a total wasted opportunity. oh well...

I realize that considering his colour scheme doesn't give you much to work with. You had enough dark colour variation so he's readable. I also like the American flag symbolism behind him, enough to ground him in the image but not to overwhelm him.
