Giftart forThe original idea was that Sylvia was trying to master the Flame Spear attack, alongside Wally Babbleton.
Of course, they are under the supervision of the true master, Retsubnad Leadboot, who is teaching them the spell and making sure they're careful how they use the ability.
This turned into a little competition to see who could make their Flame Spear reach the furthest, while Thoronraw acts as impromptu judge to determine who wins...
Retsy, Wally and Thor'n are my own characters.

Love the fact Wally seems to be trying his hardest, while Syl looks like she isnt even trying....makes me wonder how far she would reach if she was serious

Also, much of the comedy was coming from the fact that Wally is such a loser...
And I think it could be a funny side to Thoronraw that, even with those big talons, he has a knack for being very delicate - see how he carefully handles that tape-measure!

Ah well, at least the beam is not too strong if the ruler Thoronraw uses doesn't melt.
Also not sure if Retsy's smart teahching people new fire powers in a room filled with flamable carpets and wall decorations. Not to mention flamable Thoronraw's.

Retsubnad: I haven't had a lot of experience at being nice myself, although she's been hanging out with Danbuster a lot in our MSN roleplays... she's good friends with our Artist's characters!

Heh, heh... that's OK - Retsy would only teach this kind of stuff to good friends that he's known long enough to trust... and even then, under supervision to make sure accidents don't happen.

I think it's a developing hilarious feature of Thoronraw lately... that he's got these great big taloned "hands" (I don't know how else to call them)
He should really be clumsy, and yet he might well be seen very delicately balancing a teacup between two talons, daintily sipping his tea and managing admirably...

Sometimes he (and I) make some foolhardy decisions - and the hear the offended parties speak, you'd think he'd committed a capital offence... even when I rewrite the story for an inoffensive alternative, he has difficulties in gaining forgiveness...
