Hoo boy. This is one for the books.A combination of jokes saw me come up with the idea for a "Pimp Daddy Destro" styled Gelgoog. Why? I have no idea, and I suspect that I was high on paint fumes at the time.
The result: Taking a HGUC Gelgoog Marine Commander (The most stupidly over-the-top Gelgoog to begin with, what with it's flared shoulders, butterfly wing fuel tanks and allready crazy colour scheme) and going wild. Glossy purple with a gold trim, accented by hand-paitned leopard-spot shoulderpads for that extra hint of pure insanity.
I love it.
The best part? It really wouldn't look out of place at all in the one-year war.

IIRC It's just the paint; a gloss purple and metal gold. The secret was to photograph it outdoors during the day under natural light

Oh. Did you put primer over it before you painted it? Because I'm thinking of purchasing a HGUC Gelgoog Marine commander type and painting it a custom color so that it can go along with a fan fiction that I'm making.

To be honest, I don't recall. I painted it years ago now and I don't remember what I did exactly. However, if I did primer/basecoat it, I likely used a glossy white to help with the pimptacular outcome.

Cool. I think I'm going to paint mine silver because the character in my fan fiction pilots a silver Gelgoog.

When you get three battleship kills in one battle, no one questions whether or not you are allowed to put ridiculous leopard spots on your mobile suit. Seriously, one-year war paint-jobs were always so crazy.
