thx, I was trying to make a page for fun, but I found out that I totally suck at this so thx for the tutorial, it sure gave some usefull tips, the rest is just practice I guess Although a tutorial on text balloons and positioning of them could be usefull as well

inu-bri [2010-05-30 06:57:29 +0000 UTC]

just a quick question, you know how you have the example with the hero in front of the panels, if they were more innocent and stuff would they be behind the panels to emphasise weakness? I wasn't sure

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Deamond-89 In reply to inu-bri [2010-05-30 07:32:15 +0000 UTC]

Yes, but then you have to make the panels around the character disappear If they don't 'touch' the character, it will give a soft feeling.

aque-mizuhara [2010-05-29 22:11:05 +0000 UTC]

Great idea! I like how you describe it all in one place, and you make it easy to follow and understand. But I think the part on panels' flow and how people read a page might need some elaboration. That was the main thing I had problems with and I had to do lots of research to make my pages readable~~

Good tut. Another tip to lead the reader to another panel, is to have the speech bubble overlap into that panel. Also the placement of speech bubble can lead the reader through the pancels.

Those bubbles that are higher are read first, and then you move down.

An example of both of these is used in the following page.

BTW, you can submit this tut to my Tutorial Heaven group, if you want.

YYeah, I thought about making a speech-bubble tuto as well... But somehow I lak the time -___-

This one was for a friend of mine. Since she asked how I panel, so this was the easiest way of explaining
