i didn't think black would work. i stopped using black in my art because it's so harsh.

I know some people do that. I just think it's . . . limiting. Black is an essential to my palette! And if someone has black hair, they have black hair, you know? I do like the experiment <3

I just feel it's very harsh and can be very flat. If I do need something that dark, especially with painting, I make a very dark blue, purple, red, etc (Like the bird painting in my gallery). I've found it adds depth if it has a slight tint.
It's fine in some situations, though. I stopped inking with black with my actual art and most illustration, but it's definitely appropriate with comic art.

thank you
i'm always worried about drawing noses. not my best facial feature (that's why they're always the tip and nostrils).
Different? i think i use pencil often, but it is colored differently?

yeah, i decided to go with more natural colors like in the pinks. i don't see wonder woman having glossy pink lips but more natural shade.

thank you :3
this one was more for a coloring practice because i wanted to get more detailed with it. my older colored drawings aren't like this at all.
