Here's another in a long line of my character ref sheets. Here we have 'Professor' Octavius, a half mad, stuttering kit fox who fancies himself as an zoologist.

Born on the Great Plains in the late 1840's, Octavius had a troubled kithood to say the least. To begin with he wasn't always called Octavius, and he wasn't always a 'Professor'.

Despite the peculiar nature of his early life, he was genuinely happy to live it, until he came to the Southern Valley, and like everyone else was thrown into the maelstrom of the drought. His experiences here affected him greatly, and resulted in his distinctive stutter and psychosis. They also gave rise to the 'Professor' title that he now touts.

His life became focussed on locating an elusive and important sub-species of his own kind, and he travelled extensively in his search. He still seeks them today, and will not halt until he has found one.

Professor Octavius is 30 years old at the time of the story. He is neurotic, jittery and finds it very difficult to concentrate. He speaks with a definite stutter and trips over words. He is easily confused by seemingly simple things, but his deep knowledge of animals and taxonomy is unsurpassed.
