Install: phi.pf-control.de/userscripts/…

Mirror: greasyfork.org/de/scripts/5771…

This is a working script! Install it if you want this!

asked me to collaborate for the current dA-Related Collaborative Contest and made a suggestion about listing all groups, changing the display and graying out Groups you can't submit to:
fav.me/d4veqv4

Functions:

  • List all your groups (your member of) at once with icons and descriptions*!
  • Search within your group's name real-time and with regexp**!
  • All groups he deviation is already in will be grayed out***
  • Search for new groups by typing "#", the name of the group and return. If you are allowed to submit, it will be temporary displayed within the list.
  • Make your own lists of groups! Just select a group, type the name of the collection in the panel on the bottom-left and press "OK" while "Add" is selected. Now when you choose the new entry and click "show" all added groups will be shown! Selecting and pressing "OK" while "Remove" is selected will remove them from the collection. empty collections will get deleted
  • Type "*" and the list of a group-collection to show the groups within the collection!
  • You can even add groups you aren't a member of to the a collection-group! You only have to search for them via inserting their name with a "#" before and pressing enter to get the new list-entry. Then select it and add it to your collection
  • Multiple group-collections can be made at once (one for photos, one for journal-skins, one for general groups etc.)
  •  Hiding feature: hide groups from your list

  • *To get/refresh the grouplist, you need to simply click the button "Update List of Groups"
**Regexp provides wildcards as placeholder and many other useful things:
Type "Journal|CSS" to get all groups with "Journal" or "CSS" in their name.
Type "d.*d" to get all groups with 2 "d" in their name.
Type "ba(na)*d?" to match "band", "banana", "bad" etc.
Type "beauty" to get all groups with "beauty" in their name.^^
Invalid regexps will be marked red.
***only the groups listed on the deviation's page will be grayed, so after submitting, you need to refresh to get the new one grayed out.
This also means that for suggestion favourites it won't gray out anything.

    Preferences:
    works well with...
    firefox + Greasmonkey-addon ,
    chrome + tampermonkey,

Information for installing can be seen here: fav.me/d4akman

    Please someone make something like this when eclipse lauch for everyone!! It only let me add deviations to 10 groups, no more (idk if I'm doing something wrong lol) and I'll really miss this, this literally means losing my work and not being able to pay university or bills ;;

Hi, and no problem. thanks for replying - and also for becoming a beta tester so you can continue reworking this fabulous and very necessary tool.
Any luck so far on getting it to work with the hideous eclipse?

Hey there! This is a great tool, and i love it! However i thought that another feature would make things faster; remembering folders. It usually takes a lot of time to uplad deviations to many groups because of having to select each folder manually. It would really be amazing to see it future updates if you are still working on this. Cheers!

You might need to update the group list manually by pressing the button.

It should fetch the list of groups for you from here:

you need a userscript handler extension for chrome.

    I recommend Tampermonkey: chrome.google.com/webstore/det…

That should allow installing userscripts from any website.

Mmmh... for me all show up.

Which browser (Firefox/CHrome/opera/edge/safari) and addon (greasemonkey, tampermonkey etc.) do you use?

Try to update your list only on your own deviations.

And also only push the "add to group" button after a few seconds, so the side can fully load.

On opening the dialog first, you might need to close and open it again, so the list can load.

I have to say that I love this userscript because it saves TONS and TONS of time. Thank you very much for your hard work! But... Here comes the bugs.

    1. Approximately yesterday script stopped working properly. Groups that deviation's are already in does not grey out. Using: latest Chrome (67.0.3396.99) + latest Tampermonkey (4.6). Tried: refresh, reopen, Reset button, reinstall script, reinstall Tampermonkey.

    2. As wonderful this script is, it's still can't import collection list properly. Group-Collections's droplist was totally empty after importing my old file.

After last script update I lost all my collections for some reason. Maybe it was because I had to manually update the script from 1.8 to 2.3 through greasyfork.
Apparently, it does import list from the saved file or something (because after you export your supposedly empty list, it shows your old collections), but can't read or can't show anything out of it.

It might sound stupid but it has something to do with capital letters in my nickname.
Eventually I found the solution that woked for me. It might help folks who have capital letters in their nicknames too. Here's what I did:

    1. Open your old exported collection list (but don't forget to BACK UP it!)
    2. Find something like YourUserName_collist. It was DrAltruist_collist for me, found it right at the start of my file.
    3. Change all capital letters to small ones. YourUserName_collist -> yourusername_collist. For example: draltruist_collist. Save the changes in your file.
    4. Open the script, import your edited file and refresh your page.
    5. It works now! At least for me, that's it.

Hi! I made an update now.

    Please update to v2.4!

It should fix the issue of groups not marked and collections not being imported.

Thanks for your help with the workaround!

There was a bug where I converted the username to lower-case before saving the collection.

This is necessary somewhere else since some calls don't like capital letters in the new url.

However, this also means that collection files where you replaced your name with small case letters will not work anymore.

    Sorry for the inconvenience!
