So. Last night I couldn't sleep for long. So I played a bit ME3. Wanted to see, if the Omega DLC will change anything in the end.Nothing
After that I remember all endings. And I hate Bioware for this.
There is only one Ending where Shepard "survives"... but this is the ending, where EDI and the Geth will be killed
Unfair is not the right word for this!
So I made a lil' Comic about it.
Let's hope Shep will never drive to Heaven... but when:
Shepard: Hi together! I'm finally died!
Synthetics: Shepard! We need to talk! *took out brass knuckles and baseball bats*

This is only a bit true.
For exampla imagine the human is like a geth. The cubicle destroys not the body, it destroys you gohst, your soul.
And if you get repaired you get a new gohst. So, you are alive again, but you are nor the same person. So, maybe you can repair everything, but there are "new" perons, not the original ones...

The way a computer save files would save most processes, so they wouldn't be lost, only "mentally" scared. So they would be hurt and traumatised, but with the weak personality most Geth have, not much would be lost. Worse for EDI, though, as she have an advanced personality and would need to relive everything and still wouldn't be the same.

If the Geth are living after Rannoch they all have a better mentally state. They all are a unit who can think. And that would make it hard. SO yes. Maybe you can repair them sometime... but as you are right, it wouldn't be the same

Really, and suddenly the Quarians forgot how to fix/rebuild synthetics. If they can rebuild the Geth on their homeworld, It should be easy enough for Tali to repair her as the Starchild said "Those who survive will have little difficulty on repairing the damage. BAM! Your argument is invalid

Rigt they can rebiuld Geth and maybe EDI too.
But especially EDI was an AI who learned a lot, became more human.
If you build her new, you build a new EDI she is not the same.
It only would be possible, if she was on "standby" after the red-wave. But this means, the reapers are in stand-by too.

I meant that her current body would be repaired so that she would be back alive and kicking with all the changes she got to become more "human", before they return to Earth to find Sheppard, but she would no longer "be" on the Normandy. That's what I meant.

And I would like, to see more changes in the red end. Maybe if you have lotsa War Assets, taht you can saver Geth and EDI. But Bioware (Bioware, not me) made it this way, that ina red end, the software of the AIs burn away and be destroyed.
So EDIs Body is full okay, geth bodies too. But they are soleless 'shells'
So, EDI can be reapierd, but it will be a totally new person.
It's like your bodie is oay, but you have no brain, and the create you a new... this will be a totally other human.
But do not missunderstood me.
In my personal endings, EDI and the Geth survive the red ending.

the software aboard the Geth and of course Normandy won't survive. However, EDI's changes and major control of the body was HARDWARE, which merely shocked inactive with the her body until repaired. Just see the Citadel DLC,*spoilers* when you took her to get the Normandy back she was deactivated and her body shut down for a moment,followed by a funny comment of your squadmate and then she recovered, though with her left eye momentarily facing away then the right one and her visor disabled. She was capable of staying active even without her active on the Normandy, making quite alot sence now doesn't it? *end of spoilers*
And when it comes to the Geth, the quarians will just build new ones, it's simple as that!

This was only a disconnectedness to the Normandy. Like we blindfooled a human or tie his hands on back.
She still was herself, bt with less capacity.
If the red wave comes, it destroys all AI software. This is no disconnectedness , it's a full destruction.
But as I said, I don't want this

neither do I, but her consciousness on her body is HARDWARE, Didn't I already tell you that? She is not like the Geth, her body manages to preserve the hardware of EDI's personality, but when she is fixed, she'll be unable to upload herself to the Normandy. EDI would no longer be an onboard AI but she can now operate it as a person, with Joker. Hence,she is not dead forever and after his/her body is found and taken for treatment, Shepard would be glad to see EDI on Huerta Memorial when they meet again.
It's the perfect happy ending for all of them. Maybe not the Quarians, for they had just starting to adapt to their homeworld with the Geth but otherwise, it's a happy reunion. (They may have to get EDI memory plaque from the wall after she's fixed.)
I hope now we're happy.

Of course she will, would fix her and it could be considered as EDI's lazarus project. But more importantly,in this ending Shepard must also survive, especially Sharon, who had done alot of great things. Giving her life to the Reapers and especially not to , cuz since the Geth will be back anyways and EDI's personality hardware will become active upon her getting repaired. That indeed is a perfect ending.

Now we are at the same point
EDI, Shep, survives, Paragon choices and reaper gone away...destroyed

And Sheppard can have another party with her friends on her apartment. with dead, everyone in the galaxy is safe. And Sheppard gets to see it all: Tuchanka becoming the beautiful world it once was, the Geth being rebuilt and then asking the question;"Does this unit have a soul?" and more importantly, see her friends living a better life. Including Miri, Samara, Wrex & Grunt, and Jack with her students, and more! There's no better ending then that! Destroying the reapers was a wise choise, We can rebuild the mass relays without their help. We can recover from the losses we suffered in this war. And that's thanks to Shepard, because she listened to wich was the right choise. And I'm with Jeff and more human then eveer before, no synthetic would ask more to feel alive. There's peace with all of us, no one will have to suffer after this.

Thankyou! It was an honor and joy to speak about this. We have reached a consensus about the conclusion where Destroy is after all, the most preferable choise out of all endings. All you need is 4k EMS and that's it, everyone, think it this way: EDI's personality survived on her body which is fixed by Tali. Shepard survives to live on, and the Geth will be rebuilt and not long after that, their question will be answered "yes" and they can once again rebuild Rannoch.

This is what I think aboutthe 3 endings:
Destroy- is a reasonble(consistent) ending, but then the catch killing EDI an the Geth
Synthesis- come on, really? God, it is just ridiculous!
Control- I choose this. "The one(shep) for the many(EDI,Geth)", right?
