Basically I saved this whole process as PNG instead of SAI and just finished literally crying over that, because this was a Valetine's Day gift from me to my boyfriend.I spent at least 4 hours on this, lineart and all- now it's gone. At the very least I'm gonna have to delete all the purple parts and start the lineart all over again because God knows that there's no way in hell that I'm gonna go through that whole coloring process all over again, especially since I was so fucking proud of how it was turning out.Ā
I'm posting this because I don't know if I will ever have the guts to finish it anytime soon and to let this be a lesson to everyone that you should always check in what type of file your work is before you close the program.

This is so beautiful! Ik how u feel tho, I've done tht before too and I kicked myself for it. It was a horrible feeling to know all tht work was just basically gone. But it still looks great! I would love to see the finished piece, but if it's too depressing for u, I understand.Ā

However, did SAI ask you if you wanted to keep layer informations (save as .sai) ? Mine always does that after I try to close my drawing when I save it as .png
