- Born to Solarstorm and Shiningwing alongside with her siblings Waspkit, Owlkit and Poppykit.
- Shiningwing leaves family for Splashleaf, Daykit never found out.

- Became apprentice alongside with her siblings, Wasppaw, Poppypaw and Owlpaw, also being called Daypaw and given Reedfrost as a mentor.
- Caught Greencough but managed to heal.
- Spoke to Burningkit/paw for the first time, finding out Shiningwing left Solarstorm for Splashleaf and was meeting her half-brother. Daypaw did not mind at all.
- Met Patchpaw who moved from Cloudclan and became best friends.

"Geez, what got you so off?" She raised an eyebrow, and didn't hesitate to go closer. "It's not like I'm gonna attack your mother anyway." She pouted at the tom, and flicked her tail harshly

Burningkit sniffed, unsure if he believed her, "and if not, why are you here? Have you not been told by your own mother to stay away from us?"
That brown one certainly seemed to have been because every time he saw them, he squeaked and ran off in the opposite direction, obviously that other she-cat had contributed some cowardly genes into the mix, but with this Kit he could at least say his father had gotten through to most of them.

"Pff, why would my mum tell e to stay away from you? Did your mum tell you to stay away from us?" She stared at him blankly and remembered something. "Ey, I remember you, you were speaking to my brother, Owlkit bout somethin...But obviously I dunno what you said or what he said..." She scratched her chin.

He blinked, was it possible that she didn't know? Owlkit certainly seemed to, and he'd wary a guess that the brown one did too, but it seemed that this she-cat didn't know.
Sitting down, he continued to eye her warily but asked "what's your name?"
Apart from Owlkit he didn't know the individual names of all of the other she-cat's Kits, even if they were technically his kin, it didn't feel the same as being kin with Scorchkit and Emberkit.

Hmm? The name's Daykit, how bout yourself?" She went wide eyed at the tom, waiting for a response. She she-cat flicked her round tail left and right, then stared into the toms eyes.

"Burningkit" he replied stiffly, "back there are my brothers Scorchkit and Emberkit," at least this way he could find out what the names of the other she-cat's Kits were so he wouldn't be at a confused loss every time he met them, "What are your siblings called?"
So this one was Daykit, she looked like her mother, Burningkit could see very little of their father in her, this gave him a quiet sense of smug relief.

Burningkit nodded, following her gaze towards her siblings, his movement was a little stiff, but a movement nonetheless. He knew which one Owlkit was, and he could figure out from their names who the others were.
"So why were you called Daykit then?" He asked, he wasn't as curious about the names of the other Kits, that was simple, Owlkit for his large eyes and markings, Waspkit because of his colouring and stripes and Poppykit because it was just a name, but Daykit's name gave him a feeling that his father had been involved in the naming process.

She blinked curiously. "I dunno, I never bothered to think that.." She scratched her head, and twitched her muzzle, as she continued to wonder. She stared down and then looked back up. "Ye, I dunno why..."

"Names are important" Burningkit told her, "Surely it's important to you that your name has a meaning and was not simply something gifted to you on a whim," he lifted up a paw to start grooming himself as he spoke, "A name is something somebody else says, it's something that is one of the first things another Cat will learn about you, it seems important to know what such an important thing means, don't you think?"

"Wow, they're that important..""I'll remember that, and cherish it well~" She nodded, accepting what Burningkit said. She thought names were just there to call out to your family and friends, but now she'll value it.

Burningkit nodded, "Well I suppose you should get back to your family" he told her, nodding over to the other she-cat's nest, "your mother might start worrying about you if you're not back soon."

She gave a little frown. "But she's right over there, why would she worry?" She placed her self on the dirt and looked up at the younger kit. She swished her tail. "Do you have any friends? I always see you only play with your siblings.."

"My siblings are my friends" Burningkit told her, "and I'm sure your mother particularly wouldn't be happy to see you talking to us now would she?" He flicked his tail.
The way that the other she-cat's kits carried on compared to them, you would have thought that they were the ones that weren't offended by the whole situation, after all they had been born first.

"Why's that?" Of courseher mother would let her speak with him and his siblings. It's not like they're poison or anything. She enjoyed speaking with Burningkit, he didn't seem rude or anything. She smiled politely, and stared at the nest he sleeps in, then looked at the queen. "You don't look like your mum.."

"No I don't" Burningkit replied, realising that like her other sister, this one didn't know.
He considered telling her, but that would add another Cat to the possible list of Cats that he'd have to keep an eye on in case they shouted at his mum, so he just turned his head, "Queens just don't like their Kits being near us" he told her instead.

"And why's that? I like bein' around ya~" She responded with a side grin and flicked her tail. She placed her chest to the ground and faced up at Burningkit with such curiosity. She kinda now noticed, kits preventing them. They weren't sick were they?

"They just don't" Burningkit replied stubbornly, giving her a look that she'd hopefully be able to interpret as the conversation being closed. She seemed to be curious now, and he found himself rolling his eyes, considering that he and his siblings knew, it must be The Other She-cat's fault that her Kits seemed all confused over the whole thing.
Why hadn't she explained it to them? Perhaps if she had he wouldn't have ended up with Daykit blinking at him with no idea, or Waspkit skulking around, or Owlkit who knew, but had no idea why he should be avoiding them.

She blinked. the orange she-cat gave a long stare. "Do you like being around me and my siblings?" She curiously poked him, oblivious that she was probably annoying him for sure. [Very Short Sorry~]

Shrugging, Burningkit glanced vaguely off in the direction of her nest again, "I think you guys are okay, although I'm not so fond of Waspkit," he gave her an honest answer, because he didn't see any point in lying about this. The others had been friendly to him and his siblings, Waspkit was the only one that made him feel like something was wrong with them.

"Waspkit? He's quite a grump, but I'm used to it. Is it cause he looks like my uncle or so? I think my daddy doesn't like him.." She scratched her chin, trying to remember the 'bond' between Shiningwing and Moonflare.

Burningkit managed to suppress a pleased feeling to hear that his father didn't like Waspkit either, but he hoped for the other's sake that his father had a good relationship with them, he didn't wish them any wrong in this mess.
"I just don't like the way he looks at me and my siblings" Burningkit told her.

"The way he looks? Meaning?" She never remembered seeing Waspkit glaring at them. And why would he look at them oddly even? They seem very nice and kind.

"Well you know, he just glares at us and shuffles off in the other direction," and if Daykit wanted to ask why, then she'd have to ask her brother, because Burningkit certainly didn't believe it was his place.

"Wow, bit harsh." Now that she thought about it, every time Waspkit walked past Splashleafs nest, he gave a disappointed look. She tapped her paw on the ground. "Well, if he bothers you, tell me! I'll tell him not to be so rude to nice cats like you guys!" She gave an enthusiastic purr and puffed out her chest.

He shook his head, "There is a reason, I won't keep that from you, in fact I'm surprised you don't already know it, but it isn't my place to tell, your brothers know though so ask one of them - Owlkit will probably tell you," he dipped his head, "but I'm grateful that his sisters are very polite, and I would appreciate it."

"Hmm? Is it a secret or something? I'm good at keeping secrets!" She giggled and smirked with approval. She loves to brag about her 'skills' with keeping secrets.

Burningkit shook his head, nodding off in the direction of her mother's nest, go and ask.

Burningkit flicked his tail, unsure exactly how to explain it, but it was clear that she wasn't going to leave until he did. The reason he was hesitating was because he was worried about the backlash - at least if one of her siblings told her she probably wouldn't accuse them of being a liar or try to claw them.
"Well... We do actually have something in common..."

"We do?" She tilted her head. "Beside us being cats...what is it?" She looked at her markings, too see if any of them were familiar like his.

He could see her examining his pelt, and wondered if she'd figured it out, however she still looked confused, so he tentatively continued, "It's not too obvious because it's only really apparent in your brother Owlkit... who looks a bit like me and Scorchkit..." He blinked his amber eyes, Daypaw and her siblings had not inherited this, and it was always something he felt quite smug about, but they were his father's eyes, maybe she'd see something in them.

Daykit narrowed her eyes, then widened them. "What you're trying to say is..that... Daykit then gasped and covered her mouth with her paw. "Oh my...and how long have you know this...?"

She seemed to have caught on.
"Our mum's never been secretive of it, I think it was just your mum that wanted to keep it quiet," it didn't seem like it had been a very successful idea in Burningkit's opinion considering the fact that basically everybody knew.
He really was quite surprised nobody had asked Poppykit or Daykit how they felt about their dad having two mates, though perhaps most Kits were just too polite to bring it up.

She blinked confused. "In a way, I kinda don't blame her for keeping it quiet.." He stared at the ceiling, then shook her head then stared back at her half-brother, which she just figured out moments ago.

Burningkit shook his head, he couldn't blame Solarstorm for it either, it was probably a stage of denial for her, it must have hit her pretty hard when their dad had told her that he had another mate who was expecting Kits.
He dipped his head to Daykit again, letting her process the information, "Waspkit and Owlkit seemed to know, I sort of assumed one of them would tell you eventually."

"But the thing is, they didn't..I wonder why..?" She tapped her paw on the ground, curious of this event. She raised an eyebrow to herself and cleared her throat quickly, still thinking about it.

Burningkit shrugged, he couldn't answer that, "For that you'd probably have to ask them, although I'm sure they had their own reasons," he doubted that with Owlkit it was out of brotherly protection, as he didn't even seem to register how awful the situation was, but that might be true for Waspkit.

Daykit gave a pout of disappointment. "But I'm their sister, not a stranger.." She lightly drooped her ears and looked at her paws. "Do your brothers already know that we're half-siblings?"

"Splashleaf and Shiningwing didn't really keep it a secret from us" he admitted. He had his own reasons for suspecting why Solarstorm had, but he didn't want Daykit to take it the wrong way - she was her mother after all, so he kept quiet.

Daykit blinked. "I'm just wondering why didn't Owlkit or Waspkit tell me or Poppykit.." Daykit sighed. She wondered if Poppykit even knew about this.

"Well if I had to guess..." Burningkit realised he'd have to say something, she seemed rather upset more by the fact that her brothers had been in the know and not told her than anything else, "I don't think it really occurred to Owlkit it was something that might be important, and well Waspkit..." He suspected he'd kept it to himself for similar reasons to Solarstorm, "perhaps he thought giving it a voice would make it more real, and by keeping it to himself he could deny it a little and not drag you and Poppykit in."

He proboably had a point. Nodding with agreement, she looked over to her mothers nest and looked at her siblings. "I wonder how my mother rreacted to this.." She mumbled quietly, then faced her gaze back to Burningkit.

Burningkit purred lightly with amusement here, "Well considering she doesn't seem to like me and my siblings very much I'd suggest it wasn't well," he flicked his tail. There was no real space for him to be sympathetic to the other she-cat, she was a threat after all, someone competing for attention from his father with his own mother.
Of course he held nothing against the Kits - providing they didn't hold anything against him that was, they were just as mixed up in this as he and his full siblings were.

"Do you think our dad did the wrong thing...?" She couldn't decide if he did the right or wrong thing. If he never met Splashleaf, Burningkit and his littermates wouldn't have never been born, and she didn't like the thought of that.

Burningkit shrugged, "I'm in a position where of course I'm not going to agree, I love my mother and my brothers and I wouldn't want that all taken away just to satisfy the feelings of one she-cat..." he caught himself, remembering that this was Daykit's mother and she probably wouldn't be happy to hear him insult her like that. He cleared his throat, "What goes on between our mothers and father shouldn't be something we all have to argue about, to say dad was wrong is like saying that me, Scorchkit and Emberkit should never have been born, you can see why I take so much offense at Waspkit, but if we don't let it bother us in our day-to-day lives there's no reason why we can't all get on."
