- Shiningwing leaves family for Splashleaf, Daykit never found out.

Cliffkit tossed and turned in his nest. The nursery was crowded. He missed his father. He needed more friends. He shook his head, not wanting to think like that again.

Daykit was wide awake, and bored. She hopped out of her nest with a big leap, but then tripped over when her paw got caught in the moss. She pouted at herself, and rubbed her nose, then shook her pelt. She looked over at the brown queens nest and saw a dark kitten moving all around. She raised an eyebrow and went to take a closer look.

Cliffkit looked like a ruffled bird, but part fox because of his bushy like tail, he wrapped it around him, and peeked out from underneath spotting a orange she-kit.

Burningkit glanced over his shoulder into the nest to make sure that his mother was still resting peacefully. Scorchkit and Emberkit had gone out to explore and report back, so he'd been left to guard the nest while his father was on a hunting patrol, he seemed to be sent on a lot of them.
He was now scanning the Nursery for any possible hostiles, his gaze particularly settling on the nest at the other side of the Nursery where Solarstorm and her Kits usually were.

Daykit was wide awake, and snickering under her breath. The she-kit seemed as hyped up as ever, and ready to make some trouble. She wanted to also meet the new kits that were born, and maybe make some, 'friends'. She hopped out of the nest she slumbers with her family, and made her way to Splashleaf's nest. A wide grin appeared, when she saw a dark kit. "Why hello there!" Daykit called out with a posh voice.

Starting with alarm as one of Solarstorm's Kits suddenly started heading towards him, Burningkit puffed up his pelt, trying to make his large body appear even bigger than it really was.
"Don't come any closer" he warned, in what he managed to maintain as a steady voice, "be on your way and we'll consider this as just a coincidental passing," had she been sent here to upset his mother? He couldn't imagine a Kit smaller than himself doing her any actual harm.

She blinked and smirked. "Are you afraid of my mightiness? It can be too big to handle after all~" Daykits chest puffed out and placed her paw on the left side of her chest. A cheesy smirk form, and she opened one eye and looked back at the dark kit.

Burningkit narrowed his eyes, "I don't see anything mighty here, just an irritating speck that might upset my mother" he growled, being sure to position himself between her and the nest where Splashleaf was sleeping.
He didn't like fighting particularly, but if he had to defend his mother then he would.

She blinked, and felt her muzzle twitch. She glared at the Tom kit and hissed very lightly. "What did ya say?" A frowned arched on her face, as her gaze caught the dark kits eyes. She hated being insulted. An irritating speck? "Ya know, I hate being insulted by little pests like ya.."

Burningkit sniffed, he was already taller than this she-kit, so the insult 'little pest' didn't really bother him.
"Great, I'm offended and you're offended" he snarled, "now go away, don't you have your own mother to see to," he waved his tail warningly, baring his small teeth slightly.
