once I get out for winter break, I expect to put out some more tutorials, but it's likely that school will give me homework and keep me busy. If I do have the chance to put any out, would you like me to tell you?

I love it but I do have to say that I think the horse's head is a little long. It depends on the look you are trying to achieve. Though, it does look fine on this horse. The drama of the horse galloping kind-of balences it out.

lol! thanks. I know I stretched it out in one of the pictures, but I had to keep resizing them and it was hard to get it right. It actually looks kinda short to me in some of the other pictures, but I'm never consistent with my thoughts from moment to moment.
I'm glad it balanced out, but I will keep the head size in mind for my future drawings, thanks for the tip.

Incredible for your first tutorial. You've included many step-by-step hints and instructions for all the little details, which really gives the tutorial an edge over its generic rivals.

THANK YOU!!!!
I was trying to make it as easy as possible to understand, but it can't be seen as well unless it's downloaded. There were a million things that I wanted to write but couldn't think of at the moment or I wasn't able to easily explain. I also tried to show the process of developing each area of the body. I'm glad this helped and greatly value your comment. It really means alot to me!

Downloaded tutorials are fine; usually better quality anyway!
Don't expect to get everything out exactly as you want it on the first try; what tips you included were helpful, some useful things will come to people as they try it out (and some things can't really be explained unless the person discovers them for him/herself).
You did well! Thanks for actually taking the time to share your technique with us! (Some say that the best way to fully understand what you know is by teaching it to others!)

very nice! I think the neck is a little short, even at this angle, but it helps add the effect of being really muscular. bravo!

thanks! It looks shorter than it is because of the angle and because of the fact that it is only a line art. I just drew what I saw in the reference.

well, it looks real. But some draft horses have short necks too. it doesn't make it look bad.

I was hoping to do a better quality one, but both GIMP and MS paint were giving me problems. It's probably because it's huge when you download it. XD

I'm about half way done now, So what program did you use to make that tutorial,i still don't know how to make one

DelightsJD In reply to MuGi-da-G [2008-10-08 22:18:19 +0000 UTC]
I used Gimp. I made the canvas a solid color and brought up the different picures as layers. I don't know how to put words in with gimp, so I used Ms paint for that part.
