It's great that they decided to include a lot of info from the comics, like Scrooge's canon sisters and parents, designed by Barks, and Don Rosa. Β And the fact that Scrooge was a retired adventurer when he met his nephews.Β

I never read the comics, wanted to but never did. Β I only watched the series is all but I do love the fact they are adding these things to the reboot and I'm excited to see more too once the new episodes come out on Disney XD, I only saw the first hour special they had on of the reboot so far.

Scrooge is much meaner in the comics though, and his softer demeanour felt wrong for me in the old DT π He looks kinder in this one too.
What I'm saying is, comics are great. I recommend at least reading "The life and times of Scrooge McDuck" by Don Rosa. Good, angsty stuff π

True. So far, it has a sort of Gravity Falls vibe. Especially Webby, who's a lot like Mabel in a way.

It really doesn't. More like the original comics vibe. But I agree about Webby, and I hate it. I mean, at least she's not 100% like Mabel, but she sure sounds like her.Β

Well, where Mabel is charmingly eccentric, Webby seems more like a crazy shut-in. And to be honest, I love her! (at least more than the original Webby)

You have a point there. When my mom and I watched the reboot, my mom said Webby is a lot like me. I loved Gravity Falls, but I'm ready to let it go. True, I'm working on a GF fan episode with my friends, but still. Ducktales has always been my favorite tv show ever since I was little. I just hope the reboot doesn't end up ruining my childhood. Teen Titans and the Powerpuff Girls have already been ruined so I hope Ducktales don't follow suit.

Omg, yes, I hope so too... Tbh, I didn't like the new HD&L. They sound and act like adults, and annoying adults too.

I didn't like HD&L's new voice at first, but I'm starting to warm up to it. I can understand why they did it though because of clarity (or maybe they couldn't find anyone that sounded like the original, but still. It guess it takes time getting used to. But David Tennent voicing Scrooge? I'M IN!! I LOVE THAT GUY!!!
