Lauren was in her room meditatingLAUREN: Ooooommmmmmmm.....
LAUREN: Ooooommmmmmmm.....
LAUREN: Ooooommmmmmmm.....
Suddenly, a loud music starts playing
LAUREN: Whoa!
She falls down
LAUREN: Aw, c'mon! I'm trying to meditate!
Lauren exits out of her room
She knocks on Carter's door
LAUREN: Carter!
LAUREN: Carter!
There was no answer
She tried yelling his name again
LAUREN: CARTER!!!
There was still no answer
LAUREN: That's it, i'm coming inside
Lauren opened the door and sees Carter rocking out to his beatbox
He was bumping his head up and down
Carter then sees Lauren
CARTER: Oh, hi Lauren!
LAUREN: Can you turn your beatbox down, i'm meditating
CARTER: WHAT?!
LAUREN: I said, can you turn down your beatbox!
CARTER: WHAT?!?!
LAUREN: *sighs*
She walks over and turns off his beatbox
CARTER: Hey! I was rocking out to my jam!
LAUREN: I'm sorry Carter, but you have to turn your music down i'm meditating
CARTER: Oh...
CARTER: I'm sorry but, this is my favorite time of the day where i get to rock out
He turns his beatbox back on
LAUREN: Can't you at least turn it down a little?
CARTER: Sorry Lauren, no can do!
LAUREN: *sighs*
Lauren exits out Carter's room and went back into her's
LAUREN: There's gotta be a way to block out the noise
LAUREN: *thinking* Hmmmmm....
Then, she had an idea
LAUREN: Of course! I'll get earmuffs!
LAUREN: I'm sure it doesn't cost a lot of money
Lauren took her handbag and head out to the store
5 minutes later...
She came back at the House of Awesomeness and heads to her room
Lauren opens the bag and takes out the earmuffs
LAUREN: Okay, i got them, let's see if they work
Lauren puts on the earmuffs
LAUREN: Hmmm...
She snaps her fingers but didn't hear them
LAUREN: It works!
LAUREN: Now i can meditate in peace
Lauren sits back down on her rug with her two legs together and the two tip of her fingers in the air
LAUREN: Oooooommmmmmmm.....
LAUREN: Oooooommmmmmmm.....
A few hours later...
Lauren still had her earmuffs on but this time, she was reading a book on her bed
Emily was knocking at her door
EMILY: Lauren.
Lauren didn't hear her door knocking
EMILY: Hey Lauren come, dinner's ready
She still didn't hear Emily
EMILY: Uh, Lauren?
Emily opens her door and she sees Lauren with earmuffs on while reading a book
Emily walks over and taps her in the shoulder
Lauren turns around and sees it was Emily
She took her earmuffs off
LAUREN: Yeah Emily?
EMILY: What's with the earmuffs you have there?
LAUREN: Oh i got them earlier from the store today
LAUREN: It helps me block out the loud noise
EMILY: Wow, how well does it work?
LAUREN: Pretty well
LAUREN: Wanna try?
EMILY: Sure
Lauren gives the earmuffs to Emily as she puts them on
EMILY: Hmm...
She claps her hands but didn't hear them
Emily takes them off
LAUREN: What did you think?
EMILY: They're nice, but...
LAUREN: But what?
EMILY: Don't you think using earmuffs can cause problems?
LAUREN: What kind of problems?
EMILY: I heard when you're using it too long, you might start losing your hearing meaning you're unable to hear anything anymore
LAUREN: Really? O_O
EMILY: Yea, that has been a real problem back then
LAUREN: Oh...
EMILY: Mm-hmm
EMILY: You coming to dinner?
LAUREN: Yes..
At 11pm
Lauren was in bed
She couldn't sleep
She's been thinking about what Emily said to her
LAUREN: *in her mind* What if Emily's right? What if i start losing my hearing when i use them too much!
LAUREN: I know what i must do!
The next morning...
Lauren got dressed, grabbed the earmuffs and started to head out the door
5 minutes later...
She returned
EMILY: Hey Lauren, where'd you go?
LAUREN: I went back to the store and returned the earmuffs
EMILY: Oh ok
LAUREN: Because I've been thinking about what you said yesterday, it's not right to have headphones, earbuds or earmuffs on you for a long time like all day otherwise, you'll lose your hearing and will no longer be able to hear anything
EMILY: Thanks Lauren
EMILY: I said that to you yesterday because i don't want you to end up like the other people who lost their hearing
LAUREN: Well it's a good thing i'm not using earmuffs anymore
LAUREN: From now on, whenever there's noise when i meditate, i'll ignore it
EMILY: Agreed
