Description
This is part of a series I've been working on for a while.Basically messing about trying to achieve a sense of realism and working with the model and Poser's own render engine rather than being temped to export the mesh into another, better 3D program.
I was also trying to see if I could get a render that needed no postworked anatomical corrections.
God knows most Poser renders need them.
Thank you for looking.

Hello,
I just wanted to let you know that we are adding your image to our list of Favorites as a fine example of an Artistic Nude. Thank you for helping to prove that nudity does not equal pornography!

Great job with this one. You've achieved what you were shooting for I'd say. Very realistic! The skin textures are real sweet.... I need to get me some of those wet ones! I know what you mean about the anatomical corrections that so often have to be made. You have solved a large part of that problem by cropping out the real problem areas here and using the best part of the model. Bravo!

I love this texture set, it's "Miss April" by "Morris" over at Renderosity. She produces some of the best photo-realistic textures they've got going apart from SteffyZZ.
The anatomical problems weren't so bad with this piece as the uncropped render didn't have the shoulders in it.
I frickin' hate the trouble you get with arms and shoulders even in the most everyday/normal/simple poses.
With this piece I cropped the boobs out because I wanted a more sophisticated kinda arty photographic look, something that could be appreciated without loads of random people going "Oh TEH BEWBIES!"
That annoys me that does.

The textures are sweet indeed! I will most definitely check them out.
I know exactly how you feel when it comes to the anatomical problems that plague these figures... it is indeed maddening. The morphs to address the problems very seldom work and that just adds to my frustration. I just try to keep it simple and as you did, focus more on the good parts and crop out the bad.
Your crop works real nice with this one. It it perhaps the most convincing figure render I've ever seen. You could have posted it as a photo and nobody would have known. You achieved your artistic too.

lol! Actually... I was extremely tempted to do that just to see if anyone would notice.
But then DA would have wanted a signed model release form and Vicky 3 is such a bitch when it comes to signing offical things.
In fact I am going to do that, I'm gonna try to get the most realistic render I can get out of Poser then I'll post it as a photo. You'll know (obviously as I've just said that) but shhhh

You can counterfeit the release no problem as you know that Vicky will never bring a suit against you nor the DA and thus you will never be found out. You're secret is safe with me.... I won't tell a soul.

Lol nope!
It's pure 3D render with no postwork apart from desaturation and some noise added

Wow...i'm impressed this is all Poser's rendering engine.
I'd love some tips to get the most outta that renderer...
Any helpful advice? Most poser shots don't look this good.

Hmm... excellent stuff as usual, but I am trying to be highly critical here... so here goes:
The sweating effect and the skin look extremely realistic on the highlighted area (the front), but some of the sweatdrops on her side don't convince me that much (they have so much shine, and they look so perfectly round.. yet they are very very small). Perhaps the lightning model wasn't added by yours, and the drops really shine like that.. but it strikes me that sweatdrops shouldn't be that small and if they are they shouldn't feel so spherical (I get the slight impression the sweatdrops are kinda like half-spheres attached on the skin), and all this was acquired through the perception of how they shine. In other words.... it feels -to me- that the skin has something more to the like of 'bumps' than to the like of sweatdrops.
Oh.. but all that made-up rant only takes some sort of validity on the sides.. on the darker areas, specially. Ah well... maybe it's just me, as the rest of people have pointed out it is very realistic. Perhaps I just haven't been exposed to enough sweaty-pictures to really know what the heck I am talking about.
I'd say the rest is great... the skin certainly looks like good real skin. I dunno about the abs as I haven't seen enough images of those, but I they convince me pretty well, anyway. Well.. all in all... a very good image.. worth every sweatdrop dedicated to it

Thank you!
Your comments are always so fantastic, I worship and adore criticism of my work, as long as it's justified of course
It helps me so much with learning how to produce better work and it's always great when someone takes the time to really look at a picture, take in everything and offer useful and constructive critique in a genuinely nice way.
I can definitely see what you mean about the sweatdrops but the problem with Poser is that model/figure textures aren't directly editable within the program itself.
They're created as a wrap-aroun skin for the mesh in question, there are certain ways/methods of adding bump maps for realistic skin but they're not perfect.
Poser's internal render engine is definitely not the best on the market and with this specific texture the water is already a part of it.
I could move the mesh over into C4D and add every droplet individually to achieve a much better water-on-skin effect with true raytraced reflections and refractions through the drops but umm it would take ages, I'm still in the process of learning C4D and I was really only messing about and experimenting with this piece as well as trying to use "just" Poser for a change without any postwork.

Well.. I certainly knew it wasn't lack of skill that lead to the unrealistic nature of the sweatdrops.. I was pretty certain it was the flaw of the program
Ah Demonika.. trying to achieve the impossible on 'inferior' tools... well, that's part of what makes your work so jawdropping
