Description This uses work by as a reference.

Big thanks to Rob for allowing me to use his excellent work.

NB HIS WORK IS NOT STOCK - ASK IF YOU WANT TO USE IT.

______________________________

I wanted to create an artwork that was different to Rob's photograph - however to still keep the sense of likability and attractive honesty that I got from his photograph.

Hopefully this also has the simplicity of somebody just
being herself - living, breathing, having a soul and most importantly saying this is me - that is what I have to offer.

I personally think that she has a face that welcomes but does not try to be false. Something I hope i have acheived here.

To be here to breathe and to let breathe.

you add to this by your description. you have, indeed, succeeded in portraying that honesty. bravo!

...also, the fact that most male artists would've drawn this for her boobs, not her face.

Interesting, it seems more like a portrait of a life art 'sitter' than something based on reference. It has an energy and directness that existed in the original photo and which you have amplified through the prism of your eye and mind and art.

I'm always interested when someone applies their unique point of view on my photography and sometimes, I'm quite surprised by the results - this is strong, honest and emotive portraiture. Thank you.

Warm wishes,

Rob

Thanks very much. i enjoyed working with this reference - thanks for allowing me to. I only really get to work from photographs so it is good to hear you think this compares well to if it was from a sitter.

I am glad that I caught something of the mood of your photograph.

I am interested in other photographs you have and will try on of them another time if that is ok.

Thanks for sharing such excellent photography. It is often hard to find references in the stock sections that are clear and have interesting lighting, so sometimes I have to ask to use something that isn't stock.

Thanks man,

I'm currently in Thailand gathering, ahem, more 'inspiration' for new work.

I look forward to anything new you create - just PM me if you have something in motion or want any reference from me.

Best wishes,

Rob
